the latest melodyne release actually makes the workflow alot smoother, but I would be interested to see if you can create a front-end for an application of this power/dept which pleases your gui-eye and everyone elses.

sorry for completely unrelated (to rbc voice tweaker) post

If they'd only kept the old GUI - sigh.
What an ugly, ugly interface now :(
Nothing ergonomical - just fancy outfit and anything but userfriendly.

At first when we started out on the new GUI (which was late 2004), I thought it looked cool. But I realize now that the more clean "instrumentish" look is more desirable and workable. We embrace the harsh critiscism and will be working on a new GUI towards the Pro version.

Now to clear up a few questions/remarks:

1) RBC Audio is now Xponaut. And it is now a full-time operation allowing much more responsiveness to bug fix requests etc. But for that to happen, detailed feedback is needed so we can work on them.

2) The algos in V4 are completely reworked as in the V3 the algorithm was sample based, whereas now it is block based. This allows for a whole other level of optimizations, where the V3 algo was a bit of a dead end. Although the VT is optimized right now, it is still not using SIMD (i.e. SSE/SSE2 etc.), but we're looking into that.

3) Functionally it _is_ an upgrade actually, as MIDI mode is not available in the V3 Lite version (which it should be compared to).

4) True, the graphical mode is not there yet, but will be available in the Pro version. And it'll be sweet! Here we're aiming for real easiness in editing, suggestions are welcomed.

Hope this answers most of the questions you have, if you have any more don't hesitate to contact me/us at Xponaut (http://www.xponaut.com (http://www.xponaut.com)).
