Hi All

EDIT NOV 18th 2006 - The Basses are now released and available for sale. See our Website under "Products"

Manytone is about to release 2 new 24 bit Acoustic Bass Libraries next week. These 2 new sets were hand crafted by Manytone and Gregjazz, the creator of our ManyTone Ultimate Bass Kit. Greg recorded, edited and produced a new Upright Bass Library, while I recorded, edited and produced a new Ovation Acoustic/Electric Bass Library.

The 2 new products both feature Mic Samples and Pickup Samples. These Mic and Pickup sets can be used on their own or layered with each other to achieve many different styles and sounds. The included presets make using the Basses straightforward, thus getting a great Bass sound is instantly achieved.

The Upright and the Ovation will be available separately for $29.95 each or together as an Acoustic Bass Bundle for $49.95.
There will be a brief Intro Special that will be announced here on KVR where the sets will be available for $19.95 each or $38.95 for the Bundle. We will announce here and in other posts on KVR more details on this in the coming days so stay tuned in if you want the sets for a great price during this Intro special.

They will be available in the following formats, WusikStation/ManyStation, ManyGuitar, Soundfont SF2, and VSampler, with other formats following at a later date. All versions except SF2, also include Professionally crafted Presets for the Instruments. The Ovation includes drop tuned low notes (mapped down to Low B). Both sets have multi-velocity full length samples as well as Harmonics, Mute Notes, Slides and other FX.

These are 2 Fantastic sounding Sample Libraries. But please, judge that for yourself.
Here is a few demo tracks that show these new Acoustic Bass Sets in action:

(note: this also features ManyGuitar)

(shows how the Acoustic handles a standard Blues midi file, also features ManyGuitar)

The ManyTone Web Site will be updated within the next days with info on these sets, but Greg and I wanted to give you all some MP3 teasers and a heads up on the intro specials about to happen.

Hope you enjoy the listen.
Paul

Sounds really tight and expressive. I'm sure there will be a ton of songwriters beating a path to your door.

perfect timing mate!, was just searching around for an upright library, and found absolutely nothing that was very complete, this might be what I'm looking for :) UBK is very nice at least.

Its sounds really good! :)
Do you consider "Kontakt 2" format?
And if yes, will it be possible to get other format for free?
Or will we have to buy every format separetly?
I own VSampler and would like to use these Basses soon but I also would like to be able to use them later in "Kontakt 2".

Unfortunately, converting from VSampler to "Kontakt 2" can be, depending on the programming of the Library, quite a lot of work.

Best regards and thanks for this good work.

Hi
The intro special will include the choice of Formats and the customer can choose all the formats they want for the 1 price. But usually we charge about $5.00 more for Multi Formats due to the size of the package and the custom programming that goes into each format. So, we'll offer Multi Format for 1 price during the Intro Promo at least. Buyers can choose 1 or a few if they wish.

We hope to make these libraries in Kontakt format soon, but we still need a person who is extremely familiar with Kontakt to help out with this. If we do release these in Kontakt (Repeat ... IF) we will give all users that purchase during the Intro special the Kontakt version at no charge via request by those that want it. But no promises that they will see the light of Kontakt. But i do hope so, I just can't promise anything at the moment.

That said, you said you have Vsampler and we had Anil K. Jain program the VSampler Version and he has done a Fantastic Job. There are very nice programs all ready to load up and use instantly. Also some great controller assignments etc like being able to fade the 2 Soundsets (Mic and Pickup) using controller #15. This works so sweet for playing the bass and using a Slider to fade the 2 Sets back and forth or to find just the right mix.
Anyways the VSampler bank i think is awesome and you should enjoy it.

Thanks everyone else for the comments.
I love the sound of these new basses and thought you guys might also. ;-)

IF you do a Kontakt 2 version, I'm interested in that.

Same here, but if you release it for Wusik format, I'm all game for that too. Looking for a while now to find some good basses for rock and electronic/orchestra recordings. (bit didn't find one)

If there'd be a ST1 converter, I'd use that old 4 stringed one again that I still have lying around on my HDD, but can't use it cause IK Multimedia doesn't give out keys anymore for ST1.1Free

I was actually thinking of taking my hand at mapping UBK into K2 myself, so I'd love a K2 version of these, save me a lot of time :)

Thanks for your answer Paul :)

I don't have a decent sampler. I have Wusikstation 1. Would it work in that or do I need Wusikstation 3?

You can use the soundsets in Wusikstation 1 (but you probably already knew that). But the preset format is completely different between V1 and V2/3.
