I am looking for Real Taiko Drum sounds. Has a kit been created that has japanese percussion and mutltiple Taiko Drums, samples with the Bachi hitting the middle part of the drum and edge, different stroke styles etc...

Please let me know if such a kit is out there.

My preference would be for multisamples that I can import into Kontakt if they are not already in the format to begin with.
I have thought about Stormdrum especially since it's on sale. But, I hate paying for the players when I just need the samples.
Battery 3 didn't realize they had them I'll have to check it out. But again I do like to work in Kontakt if possible.
Any other suggestions for multisampled Taiko drums.

the second free demo cd from east west has a quite usable taiko set,
dunno if its still available although.....

Hi Trekstar,
Great suggestion now I just have to find a copy. It's no longer on the East West site.
But, the sampler VI is there with orchestral concert toms among other things! I never knew these even existed.
Thanks and if anyone know where I could get the 2nd EW sampler disc I'd be very greatful!

Do you remember which kit that was? I've only had enough time to skim through about half the kits. But so far I'm loving it!
