Klezmer sample libraries? And characterful strings?

I don't get out much in the way of the sample library world, so would anyone know of any sample libraries aimed at traditional klezmer music?

Also, I've been trying to find some solo string libraries with a bit of grit and character to their tone/recording. Most of the ones I've found are really heavy on the concert hall/movie score vibe, which is not really what I'm after.

Sadly enough I don't own more than 2 sample discs (which are great, containing very old + ancient instruments), but would like to know where to get Klezmer-like-sounds too.

Concerning solo strings, I heard people say wonders about the Garritan Stradivari? Don't know myself. For some strange (and wonderful, and for my slightly shmaltzy background simply right) taste I sometimes use mellotron-deformed violins, for example, (found in M-Tron, don't know if the nice freeware-mellotrons contain SOLO strings, I'm afraid the 2 I have from tweakbench and batsounds contain just stringSSSSSSS)

Now that was helpful, Shamann, wasn't it

I don't know of any Klezmer libraries per se. When I do Klezmer tracks, I always end up playing a real accordion and hiring any other soloists (Clarinet, Trombone, Fiddle). Judging from the demos, the Garritan Strad could work...but for the Clari and T-Bone I don't think you can get a pro sound from samples at this time. Of course the rhythm section is easy.

The "Middle Eastern String Section" in RA is nice for a rawer and less "classical" string sound.

Sorry I can't be of more help...
