I found the fanfare for this smaller in many ways than a solo release. At least people make it to your webpage where they can see all of your other products, which is part of the whole point of freeware for commercial devs. (not that anyone will be in a buying mood any time around a KVR DC) A solo release or update that goes up as a news item garners significant spikes in web traffic.
No spike for me here on this one. There's something special for me about people finding and exploring my site, giving it their undevided attention. (Probably the rediculous amount of time I put into the site)
This in contrast to being thrown into a meat-market glut on one page.

A weblink to our sites would have been much appreciated and for me would have made this even more worthwhile.

Those peeps calling for a monthly keep in mind - Some devs still plan on selling software. I would wager that a never ending year round DC would probably end indi commercial soft forever. Sure Native Instruments and Steinberg wouldn't feel a blip in their sales but who will LOSE???
That's right, US indi's entered in this very challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IRONIC ISN'T IT!

Who's going to want to pay for anything ever again after this DC?
Breaking out the wallet - will be reserved for things of Absynth quality.
Oh I forgot, THAT'S WHAT IT'S LIKE ALREADY!!!!!

True, a weblink after the contest is over is a fine idea, it wasn't like that already?

BTW, I did check out your site. I played with Bizune when it first came out (and I believe it was reviewed in either CM or SoS, or both?) I'll probably mess around with it again when I free up some time. Your site is really cool.. but it's pretty intense. Maybe you can make a simple site, and then for the first page, put a head that people can tilt if they want to go to the simple page or the heavy page that you have up. :)
Remember the iLokalypse Summer 2013

I have an idea swirling around my head, no more rush jobs, but I found out too late, so that was my response, sweet girl, I did a quick cpu efficient one, and I couldn't find my high resolution modules at the time, not complaing or making excuses, just saying: that the devs have awoken and it's going to be some true competition the next round, and I see that alot of devs are highly pissed, but it's all on how you play your cards, because of course in any competition you're going to have winners and losers, and losing always stings, but time is always flipping and turning tables, so you never know what can happen, whether it's politics, cheating, or fairplay.
Aim to kick ass... This is why sportsmen become the creatures they do. Hardcore competitors pull all and any strings. Once you learn your environment, conquer your environment.

hmm. . .

Thanks Dominus.
You're probably right.
I doubt I'll ever get around to it though. I am trying to focus on actually making music these days. I guess it must take a while to load for people with slower connections.

well i find myself churning out odd little fun things all the time, and they're always free (so far, although my next project will probably be a pay-me-for-the-madness item), so i'd love the extra motivation of a contest. but i guess it would be a very small group of people.

regardless, i'm happy to have a personal challenge of 'a fun plugin every couple of months' even if it's not totally polished. just for my own personal fun.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I have about 500 plugs and if Bizune ain't in my line up, I don't feel complete, that's one of my first freebies about two years ago, I think, definite one of the freebie classics.

By the way good work on zombie fungus, that sound is definitly, in class by itself.
