Hi
I've just purchased Zero-G's Altered States and I'm having a problem with the Intakt player.

If I'm understanding this correctly, the altered states library consists of a number of 'Instruments' that are made up of one or more samples.

What I would like to be able to do is to select a sample from one instrument and map it to a zone on the keyboard, then load up another instrument, map a different sample from the second instrument to a different zone on the keyboard and sequence the two samples from my sequencer.

I can't see a way to select individual samples from an instrument and keep them assigned while I select another instrument. I always get a dialog box saying 'Discard changes to current instrument' whenever I select the second instrument.

Is this just not possible with altered states or am I making a basic mistake here?

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Thanks

As far as i know that isn't possible with the Intakt player. You'll need Kontakt for that.

thanks for the quick reply. That's OK, I can stop wasting my time trying then. I planned to buy Kontakt anyway as the upgrade price from intakt is reasonable. Intakt lets me get to know my way around the sampler's basic functions before I scare myself witless with the real thing.

Thanks again

Don't be scared. Kontakt is tons of fun. 8)
