boomy is towards the other end of tuning scale than punchy of bd, sort of the same with snapy and punchy sd. different sounds altogether i think iMHO.
Computer Music mag gives away tons of drum samples all the time, try them. its not free but cheapish, imported uk version.

laputa is right you're talking about two different kinds of bassdrum samples here. Try layering a punchy kick with a boomy one and EQ them both differently, that's how most of the 'names' seem to do it.

Well sorry for my english...i was not sure how to describe the sounds...im looking for very "compressed" samples...punchy...like a punch in the stomach..loll..and for the snares like a slap in the face...laputa_sync wrote:boomy is towards the other end of tuning scale than punchy of bd, sort of the same with snapy and punchy sd. different sounds altogether i think iMHO.
