Princeton Digital - REVERB

The Princeton does a decent room, that is it's one and only strength. CSR does a decent job of copping that Lex plate sound, plus it is considerably more tweakable. I personally think that Lex plate sound is more versatile overall if a choice has to be made between the two. CSR does have a hall, room and "ambience" algo but I would probably place the lion's share of love factor on the plate sound.

My experience with the Lex hardware was that 90% of the time I patched it in I hung the plate algo on stuff...the room rarely...the hall even more rarely...and the ambience thingy never.

Everyone should have that plate sound if they want to be cool.

well it is a ROOM reverb - no wonder it can only do rooms... for plate sounds you should look at the Plate Reverb....

Aye...right you are about that. I would take the Princeton room over the Lex room any day if it was a case of room algo to room algo. But if it was simply down to Princeton or the CSR Lex, I would take CSR for the plate algo.







Or, on the other hand...BetaBugs could quit paffing round and just code up a nice innovative reverb and sell that to the chap.

Its a nice sounding verb but since I got the IK Multimedia Classic Studio Reverb not much compares other then the reverbs using separate hardware.

artsacoustic's reverb is outstanding on most every task ...
simply superb quality ...
