Have been playing with the Lucifer demo...really cool. Do you guys know if there are any other good vsts out there that will let me do real time audio manipulation via my midi keyboard?

I have to remember to try to barter my way into a copy of Lucifer.
I wonder if bitcrusher is 3rd World enough to barter?
Oh yeah, here's a link for you apan.
runagate's giant list of midi note controlled VSTfx
Add to that list Feldspar!

Course, there's Betabugs Repeatler from the KVR Dev Challenge

Repeatler Manual wrote:In short, it is a “looper.” The slightly longer version is that Repeatler is a real-time sample assembler
that accumulates loops from live or prerecorded audio sources. You can record “chops” of audio into
Repeatler’s loop buffer. The loop is always one bar/measure in your sequencer. You can record at the
current location within the one-bar limit, or sequentially via the 8 buttons on the GUI. You have three
recording options: 1. Adding, which records over current data; 2. Mix, which is nice if you want to add
more and more layers to your loop; 3. Silence, which is sweet for creating chopping effects. You can also
let your stream Pass, which is handy when your host does not have native control over dry/wet, or if
you’re just lazy.

If the plugin is supporting full VST automation you can control via midi if:
a) Your host support connecting/mapping midi to automation parameters
b) plugin itself i silent when you change parameters i.e. it does not produce glitches when a parameter is changed.
c) you have an external midi controller
The plugin itself does not need to support midi if this above is true.

We finally decided to implement MIDI control for all our products because it may be easier for the user to understand, and we were able to propose advanced mapping functionalities which are not always available (multiple channels support, response curve customization etc.). These features are available in our freeware plug-ins as well (both in DX and VST format).
In case you are intersested, it's here:

I hope it's not off-topic since it's not about MIDI-note control, but MIDI-CC control...
