Ooh, intriguing! Haven't used MFM in a couple of years, back then it was WAY too CPU intensive for my old DAW I'm sure it's not bad on modern machines though.

FabFilter timeless is a gorgeous and inspiring plug-in, don't miss it! Also, it has a lot of well made presets, etc. To me having Timeless and UAD-1's RE 201 means I'm definely happy with delays!

Anyway, as usual, try the things you can demo (Timeless works for 30 days) and decide later. Dubstation is a good sounding plug, of course much simpler and limited compared to other like some PSPs or Timeless, unfortunately no demo there.

So don't even open the thread then let alone reply!! You've been a memeber since 2003 you should know the routine, noobs join and ask best this, that, 303. Did you never do it? Honestly?

Ok some of it is pure lazy, if they ask for best freeware XXXX then they could go through the databse and download, if they had actually realised the database was there. This person wanted genuine opinions as to the best possible delay they could buy. If someone can only justify buying 1 quality delay, what's the problem. I often ask as I don't always have time to play with a demo (if there is one) and have bought on the word of some of the opinions here.

It really hacks me off to see every noob chopped down to size by the more experienced users here. It's like moaning about learner drivers because you passed a year ago, we've all been there.

Anyway, they have as much right to ask that question as you have to ask a question about tonality or modular synth building. It's forum for peoeple interested in VSTs, not a forum for those in the know to shape as they please.

This isn't aimed directly at you Thomekk, it's a general feeling that has been building for a while. I'm fine with the jokes that's aren't that helpful, but are harmless like 'onepingonly' but why take time and effort to join a thread like this just to say [sat on throne]'You can't ask that, use the database!' Just walk on by, nothing to see here.

Like I said, not a direct moan more of a generalisation. Perhaps we should have a KVR Experts site where you have to have X amount of posts and take a small written test!!

Uh...that was some massively cool ring modulation action! Nice! I never got into MFM because I found the interface disorienting, that's what I was referring too. Look forward to trying this out.
