Can Sonic Refills (.SXT) be loaded into Kontakt2?

I've been interested in this Ethnic Instruments Sonic Refill for some time:

http://www.sonicreality.com/viewDetails ... ductID=187

It's well priced and has nearly all the ethnic instruments I'm after. However, I don't own Reason.

I do, however, own Kontakt2 which claims to be able to load Reason's NNXT format. "The Sound List/Demos" tab on that Sonic Reality page gives the intruments listings on the CD as *.SXT

Can someone please verify that these load in Kontakt2 for me?*

I have a sense that, like some NKI libraries, it may have some form of encryption that means that it can't be loaded in a different sampler.

Thanks. :)

* - Oops, I mean, someone who owns any of the Sonic Reality Refills and Kontakt2 who can confirm they can be imported.

Dont know if it's true but I've heard that an app called Refillviewer will allow you to extract NNXT samples and then you can manually transfer the samples over to K2..

Again not too sure about the valitiy of this..

Also Chicken Systems Translator Pro and Extreme Sample Converter might also do it..

Just a couple of apps that might help.

Ah well, seems not. :(

There are other sample libraries (world traveler, early patches, back-in-time records ethnic set) but they are all a bit too pricey for me.

Bad news is you are right that Kontakt cannot read encrypted Refills. It can only read naked NNXT patches and their associated samples which is more rare (so barely makes sense that it can do that but... in case you use Reason yourself maybe it is more useful there).

GOOD NEWS is that we're porting over a lot of the best Sonic Refill sounds to formats like Kontakt, SampleTank, HALion, EXS, SFZ, DirectWave etc. as individual downloadable instruments and sounds on www.esoundz.com It will start to be available some time within the coming months.

Anyway, if you want a smoking deal on World Traveler though just email sales@esoundz.com and ask. You never know. ;)
