If it was only for samples, not mapped out for a specific plugin, I would never pay any money for electronic style drums.
Just as grillo said, you usually won't find much more than what you can get for free.
It get's a bit different when it comes to realistic sounding kits. Even if there's a few really great free ones (such as the NS and GSCW kits), there are some highly specified, meticulously sampled drum kits, all layered and formatted to suit whatever sampler formats - you usually don't get these for free.
However, as you are asking for electronic stuff, IMO it's much more about the mangling - either applied destructively or realtime in whatever drum sampler of choice. And you can get *very* far with doing these things on your own.
Personally, I'd rather invest in some specialized drum sampler. Most of them come with a nice library as well. Top candidates for electronic (and partially realistic) stuff: GURU, Battery 3 and RMIV. All of them exist as AUs as well.
I got Battery 3 a little while ago and I'm still absolutely amazed by what you can do with really simple patches. And it comes with a pretty nice library as well.
But then, for pure electro-pleasure, GURU might probably be a better bet.
In any case, I could almost guarantee that these will satisfy you a lot more than whatever sample library. There's a demo for GURU, btw...
Are commercial drum libraries worth it?

Hah!
I forgot all about this. Thx dixichickkiller for resurrecting this.
Well thx for all the replies! i think my question was more about the need of commercial libraries a such raher than about a perceived gap in my arsenal.
@PT yeah I totally hear you, most drums in pop and rock songs don't really seem to have more than two velocity layers anyway - loud and extra loud
@Sascha, tried Guru the other day and was a bit confused - I thnk I'm going to wait with new software purchases until I have a new computer, this old box, however dear, isn't worth another system upgrade tbh.
