Looks great. I like how you've managed to stay true to the original skin's muted vibe but made it easier to read.

Nice one grymmjack, the skin is looking great.
It's sure to get me to start playing with oatmeal again. I know people say "its how it sounds thats important, not how it looks" but I think something has too look and feel nice to work with to make it easier to get it to sound good! Especially for people like me that a guitarists and therefore only have a basic understanding of synths.

I think this is the only skin Team17 of Worms fame would endorse
I wonder if I can incorporate some Team17 Worms homage in somewhere... hrm.

I'm going to put the tune into the empty slot in sound source. I think it's a good place for it. I'll be making a slightly smaller pot for the actual note knobs for the tune since they are likely to be less frequently used, however the tune adjust, octave, keyfollow->pan, and keyfollow->filter cutoff will be normal sized pots like the rest.

rsmus; but it wouldn't taste very good to eat it
the way it's being designed it should be easy to make color changes globally
plus since it's an oatmeal skin and it's all in 3 or 4 bitmaps you can do whatever you want with a photo editor after the fact
I like grayscale too. Maybe I'll make a milk and oreo flavor version.

That's looking great, this could improve the Oatmeal experience so much.
Just a couple of things I noticed, thought I should mention before you commit to a specific layout:
1. Have you forgotten the Pitch envelope? Shouldn't that go in the sound source too?
2. There don't appear to be any sharps among the tune controls...

Freakin'
SWEEEEEEEET
looking skin there sr. grymmjack. Colour, size and all. Now THAT's looking like an organised interface. The section updated today all fits together very nicely. Despite not having major gripes with the original skin, I remember it took me quite a while to find where the amp envelope was; tucked away like that and just below the label for filter
. Very nice touch with the
velocity, aftertouch and KB signification above the controls!!
I'm really interested in seeing how you'll colour/border/texture the other sections. Nice One!
