Sickle's DTAW Pre-Op Mix

Slowly rebuilding what I can only hope to be a relatively consistent(f**k normality, I ain't that stoopid) Life, I choose to share something very significant to me that I found some time back by accident. Some here may remember the 'Death takes a Woman' track I shared here last year, and I've just uploaded an early, shorter, and much rawer(ie, more powerful) version to my ressurected home, Deadly/Evil, at Spe3D's All-Powerfull music forum, The Auditorium.
I'd gladly post a direct link to the track itself here, but that's breaking the rules, and as a moderator there, I'm not about to make a bad example of myself(I know ppl out there are dying over that one..), so please, if you aren't already an Auditorium member, it's as easy and nasty-free as your registration here, and opens a door to free music downloads, samples, and discussions that greatly compliment KVR in a very positive way.
You can find my upload thread HERE. Those that remember the original Final Mix may find themselves prefering this one due to it's...reduced or aggrivated severity(I have a hard time deciding which it really is)..
Either way, this is the first step I'm taking towards being a contributing member to KVR/The Auditorium's Music scene, and I'm long overdue for some raw Catharsis. If you are as well, please feel free to indulge yourself at my expense.
All Listeners are Welcome, no strings attatched.
Cheers,
D
EDIT: As promised, here's a DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK to the track for non-Auditorium members. I'll be updating biomechanoid and xerocreep's Auditorium links here shortly.

The Auditorium was acting odd (keeps logging me out, pages taking forever to load), but I made my comments over there.
I'm too exhausted and full of snot and Nyquil to make a decent sized post on it here as well, but suffice to say, I really do prefer this to the final mix. The version you posted last year really packed a punch, but this really goes beyond it…
I just wish it didn't cut off at the end like that…
Cheers again,
Tom

I prefer this one too. Made me think of Blue Velvet and Lynch in general for some reason?!?!?
I guess it just brings up visions of the dark and messed-up side of life, which make sense here.
hopefully there's more to come from you soon
take care Don

equal parts luxuriance and dread. the drum is a smack in the face, and the cymbal binds it all - footsteps through 'a process', inevitability ("beginning, middle, ...").
the original was one of maybe a dozen or so tracks I've heard here that stick in the brain. this version has effectively overwritten it.

One word review - Great!
Just listened to this 4 times on the trot. For me this has got a beautiful/ugly vibe which I like.
As an aside Sickle, some of your stuff should carry a health warning.
Purge & Initiate gave me a bad case of the jitters whilst walking to work in heavy fog at 5 o'clock this morning.
Any idea where I can find the Radio Silence track that Voidoid Surrealist mentions over at the Auditorium?
Cheers
Steve

I provided him with some shortwave radio samples and he made some black f**king magic out of it all when I went AWOL…
my all time fav Sickle track, but I guess I'm biased on that.

I already commented over at the Auditorium(s), so here I'll just say that this mix is way better than the first one you posted.

Cheers, guys; it's f**king GREAT to be back in the Music Cafe and at The Auditorium..
My Healing stage has tentatively begun. I hope your ears and minds will survive contact with it.
I have much to unburden myself of, and making tracks is infinately cheaper(and more effective) than a psychotherapist(who I'm gonna end up seeing anyways)..

Wa-hell Ill offer up a few words.. First I cant say I have heard too many of your tracks, but of the few I have sampled, this was the best.. The Grinding bass was probably what kept me interested! ALthough it didnt really feel complete, but i guess according to your post this is an early version..
And as a side note, ON the other forum you posted a rather lengthy explanation of what this song is or means to you,, and thats cool and all, but for me(the listener) it sort of had me thinking in those terms and honestly I didnt hear it being about drug-use so much,, Now of course I didnt have to listen like that,, but I tried to hear where you were coming from and it sort of pidgeon-holed the listening...

dont remember the original of DTAW but this has a crushing inevitability about it that im liking
(given the nature of the piece and its current context i wont say more - to say what i like less about it would be churlish)
