This year some time. Less than a month and half left so... soon!

I was just kidding.
There's really no rush. Maybe in the time that I am waiting for this soundbank I can write a song or two instead of going through presets.
And Squids Tron v1 is still packed with more sounds than I'll ever need.
But, the thing is, the sampling in v.1 is so good that I feel like I have a "keyboard collection!" So, in a way, I just want to add to the collection.
So, take your time and continue the excellent work!

Maybe till after Christmas...you wouldn't want our families to go without, would you? Little Johnny's tear-filled eyes lit by the lights from the tree, as his Dad tells him he spent all the money on Trons. You cruel man.

Okay. We'll do it next year. But, actually we're doing a big promo with Squids Tron Vol. 1 with IK very soon so that should hopefully turn more people onto the whole concept anyway. Squids Tron 2 still needs more time anyway if you really want the extra formats (working on SFZ right now actually) and digging up every piece of esoteric noise there is in the archives.
I think we might release a refill version of Vol. 1 that any of you can crossgrade to if you own Reason. That might be nice for some people for now.

Okay. I'm totally confused about what to do now.
I've been holding out for a forthcoming bundle that 'might' contain v1 and the upcoming v2 bundle, and have almost pulled the trigger on v1. But Reason compatiblity is a plus and I'd rather not buy v1 to find out a couple weeks later that it would have been better to wait for the GB bundle... maybe I'm pulling at straws and should go for v1 now? Or maybe not? Decisions decisions, trons, more trons......
What would you do if you were eager and ready to purchase Squids' most awesome esoteric collections ever?

The promo is simply that IK is going to promote it! Haha. Most SampleTank users actually don't know it exists so... hopefully now they will.
You might as well get Vol 1. because it will not be bundled with Vol. 2 in the GB. Also the refill version will be sold separately for the same price but those who own the ST version can pick up the refill for just $50 and visa versa.

Oh no. Everyone's going to hate me now.Squids wrote:Okay. We'll do it next year.
Personally I'd prefer to hold out for the other formats; if (as was previously suggested) you can offer Trons 2 in Kontakt format, and include Trons 1 in the same format for those who bought it in the last group buy...I wouldn't be able to resist. Dont get me wrong - I still love SampleTank 2; but I like to keep my options open.

After the holidays is cool. This way I don't have to feel guilty about buying myself a present before I've figured out what to get my wife.
Ah, I rememeber the days when I could buy what I wanted when I wanted without someone scrutinizing every purchase. the price we pay for love.........

As a Cubs fan, I'm quite used to the whole "wait 'til next year" thing! I'm actually relieved because cartoon moths are flying out of my wallet when I open it up this time of year.
PS - This Tuesday sees the release of two albums that may be of interest to lovers of Trons and other esoteric keyboards - The Beatles "Love" (remixed and reimagined by George Martin & his son) as well as Tom Waits "Orphans" a 3 CD set of rarities and previously unreleased material.

I bought "Love" and it's really interesting (for "spot this one if you can" types at least). Recommended for Beatle fans, not so sure about the others. Makes me happy anyway.SometimesNothing wrote:PS - This Tuesday sees the release of two albums that may be of interest to lovers of Trons and other esoteric keyboards - The Beatles "Love" (remixed and reimagined by George Martin & his son) ...

Gary Crowley did an hour-long interview with George Martin and his son about "Love". You should find a "play it again" link to it here, in a day or two:
