Yo y'all:

To showcase SlowHand, a new and comprehensive funk guitar library I just released through LoopLibrary.com, I'm giving away a package of old-skool funk guitar rhythm tracks from the library. You can download the 8.5 Mb .zip file at:

These fully-Acidized loops were recorded at 90 bpm in a guitar style reminiscent of the Meters, The Average White Band, Sly Stone, The Staples Singers, Aretha Franklin's Atlantic sessions and Jimmy Nolen from James Brown's band. There are enough loops here to build a funk song in the key of "C" in the style of all these funky greats.

These were recorded with a Strat through a Roland G6 guitar preamp and into my old 1961 Rickenbacher combo amp with a Shure 57 taking the signal to the board. No cheesy wah-wah overkill, no tricks, no FX, no gimmicks and no B.S. - just funky old soul riddims to spice up your downbeat, acid jazz, Dirty South, hip hop, dub, neo-soul or other dance music.

There are a total of 8 SlowHand guitar sets, each with 15-20 loops at a musician-friendly price of $7.50 each. If you like what you hear, I'd appreciate your patronage.

Glad to. The amp next to my resonator guitar is the one used for this funk guitar sample set. They are both sitting in front of my old 1963 T-Bird.
