...honestly, you're welcome, but your move is interesting nevertheless - I guess, I can be glad that I already have a bass library...loachm wrote:Mod Edit: (You said it yourself below) Thanks.
EDIT:didn't notice that this is the Manytone forum - quite disrespectful, sorry

Sure
Just remember your links downloaded a file that was titled another companies name.
That's it ..... It didn't even say your song name ...it just said the other companies name.
That is why i edited it.
Sorry but i very very rarely edit stuff here, but in this case i did due to the fact this is the ManyTone Company forum.
If it was in any other KVR forum i would have left it.
Just so others know, you yourself wrote that it was the Manytone forum and was quite disrespectful to do so. I did not edit that line.

One instance of ManyStation for the UBK. I found out I can use the mod wheel to switch between soundsets.

...no offence!

...I might be interested in the Kontakt version of your new Acoustic Upright Bass (I could help re. the Kontakt version
pm me if you like). How many velocity layers and articulations has it (you may have an impression what detailed structure I'm used to with, let's say, electric basses
)? I'm looking for something to replace Trilogy, as I'm using Kontakt almost exclusively...

The acoustic bass has two velocity layers in the sustained note range (the loud layer having the buzzes in the low notes when you dig in the strings, like a real upright does). It also includes stacatto notes for the entire range, and a heaping amount of extra noises. Fret slide noises, a lot of miscellaneous slides, raked notes, string slaps, and much more. I wanted to have a lot of those extra sounds included with the bass, because that's what a lot of other upright bass libraries are missing.loachm wrote:...no offence!![]()

Sorry for the delay.
You can use UBK in a few different VSTi Sample players. So an understanding of VSTi is a must. (Hosts and setup and playing/programming etc.) Any Soundfont VSTi will work to use them to start. SFZ is a free player that will play the SF2 version. The Basses are best though in ManyStation as it allow so much more programming than Soundfonts and we have some fantastic Professionally crafted presets that come with UBK for ManyStation. But you need the specific ManyStation/ManyGuitar version and not the soundfonts for this.
Also ManyGuitar will load the Soundsets but there are no presets specifically created for the ManyGuitar version, but it has the Amp sims etc and a good Low CPU system overall. And presets are easy to create in ManyGuitar using the sound and fx wizards for starting points.
Also ManyOne (our about to be released Sampler will Play them ... it will be less expensive than our other VSTi and also have a Sound and an FX wizard).
Both ManyGuitar and ManyStation have other fantastic Basses in them also. ManyGuitar has a few more basses and guitars than ManyStation, but both have their place. You can see the soundset listings on our website.
Hope this helps a bit.
Thanks

Hi
ManyGuitar is $89.99
Ultimate Bass Kit is $29.99
The Soundsets from UBK will show up in the ManyGuitar GUI. There are no specific Presets for UBK in ManyGuitar but the Default Bank with ManyGuitar does have a bunch of great Bass Presets, you can just switch the Default Soundsets out for the UBK Soundsets if you wish and create some of your own UBK presets. Or use the Wizards in ManyGuitar to create fast preset starting points.
That is if you get past the Nice included basses in ManyGuitar
It does work in Live. (In fact we have some very cool new skins we are giving away for Free soon that have a "Live" feel and look to them. Thanks to DarkStar, you will see these very soon! 5 of them to be exact for ManyGuitar alone)
Thanks again
