just turned the tv on while having my dinner and this is on - and very nice it is too - but have i had it for seeing the first episode ?
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

I suspect they will. I've yet to hear a bad word about it. A couple of my mates are watching it. One's a civillian and the other's a talented muso who defiantly avoids any theory (usually). They're both loving it too.Hi All
at this point I don't know if How Music Works will be repeated as yet. However, Howard Goodall's Twentieth Century Greats is being repeated on More4 beginning this Sunday at 5.50pm - see:

cheers nuff, ill keep an eye out.
these are the kind of shows they repeat in a bunch of christmas at 4am along with the christmas lectures. its great being nocturnal
completely unrelated(sorry
) but other shows ive seen and enjoyed tied to music have been some of mark steels lectures. obviously they werent all music related but in particular the beethoven one i found very interesting, and the mary shelly one was good too.

Yeah thats where the real music is atspeccyteccy wrote:Can't watch it - X-Factor's on at the same time!
I'm recording these, I might be able to torrent them, not sure how to do it though. Have only watched the firt part of the ep1 but it seemed really good and its not watered down stuff either. He explains stuff in a very clear way.

I loved every minute of it but I've got a mate who feels exactly the same as you about Howard Goodall.laputa_sync wrote:missed first 10 mins i think, also i turned off last ten mins, because howard is so annoying (dont know why reallybut i cannot watch him without talking at the tv...
