Hi,

This is a one time reply on TruePianos till the product launches to address some of the points brought forward in this and other threads:
- We have not yet officially announced the product
- We have the rare possibility to, and thus prefer to, launch the product when it is done, instead of launching a v2.0 update in a year like often is done to bring a product up to a level that should have been there for the start. It is done when it is done up to a standard and contents we want it to have before launching.
- TruePianos is pretty much a different from what is out there right now. All who have not had the possibility to try and see it yet should not expect another piano VSTi or library as they know it.

I am confident that the true piano  will be at least good but more likely great, excellent or phenomenal and this is why we are impatient to hear it. Obviously the posts here are meant to let you know of the great interest in this product. 8) :D

Hi Roel,

Completely understand your desire to get it right before releasing it, and also your point that you haven't announced it yet, but...

...when will it be ready? :hihi:

Thanks for the reply. No need for rush, it's done when it's done, I totally understand that. Thing is, with all the talk that is going on, the expectations are building up and one is prone to wonder how it compares to other existing products.

I was under the impression that TruePianos will be using some kind of physical modelling, along with samples, that's why I was refering to Pianoteq. There was a video clip posted not long ago by one of the TruePiano testers, and he was emphasizing the playability and feel of this VSTi, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I am not interested in just a good sample to put on record, I'll be playing it live most of the time.

Good luck. Let us know here when it's ready.

It's hard to wait, but - hey - Pianoteq has come to settle a new standard in physically modelled pianos, and I hope TruePianos will face the competition.
After all, these products are intended mostly for live performers, so if I can count on a rock solid piece of software instead of wasting nights & days CTRL-ALT-DELling ... it can be worth waiting a bit more.
But it's hard to wait ...

When the product *is* ready, I will take a "one time" critical look at it, and decide whether or not it is worthy of my time and investment.

Meanwhile, I have taken the funds long ago earmarked for TP and invested it in a product that is finished.

don't blame the dev..it's the beta testers that have been leaking stuff for so long.
Roel probably wishes we kept things quiet.

George Yohng....... a respected name in Vst's. Should be interesting. 8)
after yrs of me bashing his free 4Front piano, I must say he's got it done nicely this time.
:hihi: I remember those threads. You were the first person I though of when I realized that Mr Yohng was making an updated piano VST. I'm glad you're on board to make your presence felt.

I just bought the Sonic Reality piano/keyboards expansion pack for my sister to be able to play some piano sounds. I hope this VST doesn't make me regret my purchase. (Although it was only about $40.)

Anything new? Will it be released in NAMM 2007 or something? How much work/time still needed, roughly speaking?
Happy holidays, keep it up.

Hi,

Read the news as NAMM approaches. I can't be more specific right now.

One of my favorite things about TruePianos is that it's really fast. The playability is awesome, from a pianist's perspective, and the piano sounds are really inspiring too. You really get a feeling of reliability. There's no note dropping, or glitches, or anything like that, making it great for a live situation. Anyway, that's my take on it.
