Hi,

It's available now a free download of DirectGuitar Lite.
It is a reduced version of my 9Gb guitar sample library Direct recorded. Combined with Amp Simulators it allows you to create an infinite number of guitar sound.

The size of the bank is about 113 Mb. The download is about 55 Mb.

It contain one of the 12 articulations. A bank for NI Kontakt 2

It has 3 Layers,
89 samples
Quality16/44
Natural Decay.

For the best result I suggest using NI GuitarRig 2 or 1 but you can use it with your favorite amp simulator as well.

Thanks for your opinions.
Yes, DirectGuitar lite will be in EXS24 format and maybe in SFZ.
I don't want to force anybody to use Kontakt but for who is interested to try DG lite, Native Instruments has a demo version of Kontakt 2. It is like the full version with the limit of 30 minutes per session and 30 day.

For ao_ks: yes it has natural decay, no loops.

I realy like the sound of Direct guitar, however Extreme sample converter reports that the nkm file is curupt. Vsampler reports the same and the demo version of kontakt does not allow imports of samples (other than the ones included in the demo). IS the giga version vailable as a demo? Or possibly SFZ.

ESC will always give this report on a .nkm file with embedded samples. The format is proprietary and can't be converted.

Thank you SWTrax, sorry about the confusion by the way. NI Kontakt demo does indeed let you load the samplefile.

Sounds very good through an amp simulator..... Getting close to purchaseing.

One question. Does the DVD come with all formats on it (Giga, Kompakt etc) or only the one I specify when ordering? I have the demo working in the Kompakt Demo but I would like to have the option of possibly using the Giga sampler version. Live' Sampler can play those and Extreme Sample converter reads Giga2,3 no problems so I may be able to make a preset for Wusic.

I wouldn't want to order the wrong version If I had to choose.

I'm always up for another Guitar lib. I'll give this a try during the next few days. This is a great way to gain attention for your regular product. If this is any good I may have to purchase the full-blown lib.
