Fully customisable : make new design in XML !

It's a controller for Max/MSP, working with OSC systems...

Does that mean we could control XT2 ? (linux or windows ?)

I'm dreaming about it...

(eh... it's 2600$)

This is going to be the very nearby future for the whole GUI-scene in my opinion. At last I would like to add. I like my BCR 2000 but swapping it with such a thing would be a no-brainer...

I'm really happy to see this kind of development. Mouse and keybord are soooo 20th century... If the price is 1/4 it will be a blast I think... (I did not see the video but I can imagine the possibilities)

You get do a lot of things the Lemur can do (setup your own customizable templates,
etc).. and probably some things it can not .. with tablet2midi, if you own/buy a tablet (Wacom Intuos will give you the most features).

MonoTouchLive is a Lemur-like controller for a generic touchscreen or tablet pc, but only for Ableton Live (non configurable gui).

This page gives a nice overview of many of these types of interfaces.

Now to have a program like STEIM junXion for PC that will map any USB device data to MIDI data would be incredible.

Saw this on mux.ca there are 8" touchscreen which shows-up as an USB mouse device.. for about $170USD very nice. Here's one model:

This one has a pen, others do not.

I for one think the Lemur is a terrible idea. Once you get past the "OMG! It looks like Star Trek!" part you realize it's rediculously expensive and doesn't really do a lot for you in terms of getting shit done. for sitting around making weirdness happen, sure, but come one.

Wasn't there a sort of modular controllor out there: you buy small building blocks like sliders, knobs, ... and that put them all toghether to build your own custom controller. Does any body here knows the link for that?

well, the issue is the money. as soon as I have some which I don't spend on booze I'll buy (right after the 584 other things I want to buy make music

seriously, I like this touchscreen stuff a lot but unfortunately it's merely availabe for multimedia art exhibtions/projects whatsoever. at a certain price level there will be a breakthrough in music production though. I'd like to this sort of technology in my living room for guests to play around

Still only one finger "mono" input...

There's also DSMIDIWiFi.
Wireless touchscreen MIDI controller on Nintendo DS. OSC would be good as well.
