I have modified a speak n maths, i used to have a keyboard i made a pitch bend mod for it :D The first thing i tried editing though was a talking birthday card and suprisingly it made some great sounds. :hihi:

I just finished my 2nd bend. :hyper:

It features a totally awesome joystick on two 100k pots that are run thru trim pots before hitting SPDT switches that send signal to 'Pitch' or 'f**k Up'.

Listen to it f**k up some Family Favorites!

_oswald: oh, man, your project reminds me of the architecture of Antoni Gaudi, and I am officially intrigued.

I've been documenting my process lately. here are the first three entries:

Warp Box
Warphone MkI
HAU 2000

there's another piece that I bent last week that I'll write up this weekend. unfortunately I was struck by this urge to document my efforts at precisely the same time I had a run of bad luck with some projects, so two of the above listed projects are DOA. but I like the idea of sharing...

enjoy.

thanx john, nice stuff...

w00t! New bend done! :hyper:

It's a pretty simple one - a 1meg pot attached to an SPDT switch with one end going to a pitch-up contact and the other hitting a 100kOhm Trim Pot before hitting a pitch-down contact.

Linky for soundie.

@_oswald: MUST REMIX SOUNDIE NOW!!!!!!!!!

Add a beat, you'll have a #1 for sure ;)

This, is Tigger Squarepants.

Tigger Squarepants is the result of jamming a Spongebob Squarepants voice box into an 8" tall tigger doll and bending it. He has an SPDT switch to trigger from his selection of phrases, a 1meg Pot run into a 50k TrimPot (at about 25k resistance) that hits a Pitch Down contact and a 1/4" jack located... in his ass.

The only recording made of him, can be found here. After this recording was made, he was packed and sent to Hawaii to torment an unfortunate girl and perhaps anyone who is unfortunate enough to be around when she set's this bitch off.

Tigger Squarepants is cool.......maybe I skipped over it , but what would be a good value of pot to provide a voltage drop for guitar pedals??

thanks very much, my "pedalboard" is going to scream this weekend...... :D

OK, not quite a circuitbend, but I was just thinking...
Karplus Strong algorithm is basically a burst of white noise fed to a delay & the output, the delay out fed into a LP filter, from there to the output and back into the delay.....Would this work using an analog delay, analog filter, and white noise source? I can't go home & do it cos i'm in college working on a project about....physical modelling. Hmm....Analog physical modelling.

Yes. Check the manual pages for the Doepfer A100's A-188 analogue delay modules for examples...

Short answer is yes although it might be a pig to tune the delay
Have a better one - Saul Cross :-)
