Hi, I have a BA in music technology and I am now looking for a good sound design or audio post production course in English an MA could be brilliant but not a must (hopefully in Europe).

I would advise you to make absolutely sure you want to do a masters before committing yourself. - I don't want to put you off, but my masters was a waste of time and money. - BUT, that was because I rushed my decision to do it (and it was too specialised).shilshoolon1 wrote:Hi, I have a BA in music technology and I am now looking for a good sound design or audio post production course in English an MA could be brilliant but not a must (hopefully in Europe).
In an industry such as ours, education really only helps you to a a point. Every single employer in the land values experience over qualifications, and usually you get jobs through networking (it's not what you know, it's who you know). Worst case scenario is the masters actually makes you over-qualified for jobs outside of your field (this is what happened to me) so unless you know you can go straight into your chosen field, you're stuffed.
Like I said though, I don't want to put you off. Just because me experience was bad doesn't mean yours will be. However, make sure you think about it carefully and make the right decision for you. Also, do it for the right reasons; just because you have a masters, it will NOT guarantee you a good job. Finally, make sure you use your free time to good advantage and get some real experience you can put on your CV.
Good luck.
