is this Folktronica???
runagate provided me a "glitchy noisy somewhere Dub" track, a very inspiring pot-pourri of sonic events,
so I used that as base for a psychadelic, chaotic but still trendy (is that a bad thing?!) elaboration,
using vocal and piano samples of folk origin,
and 2 custom composed drums and mallets tracks,
(the mallets are missing in the first beta mixdown)
runagate worked on FL Studio, my work was with energyXT,
any question or comment is welcome:
Hard Version (please note that the mp3 sounds a lot less clean that the 44100 16 bit WAV, you will need to buy my CD at some point)

Soft and Simpler version (the first mixdown)

Holy crap! I love the hard version about a thousand times more than the beta
You have some serious cojones mixing all these elements together. Thanks, liqih - I'm sure I'll be back to this thread soon. What a great surprise this morning

Delightfully weird. Maybe oil and water mixes after all. Something new happens every few bars to keep me listening. I usually try to think of something constructive to offer, but I'm too busy right now grinning with all my might.

This is pleasantly wacky... very enjoyable. Been awhile since I've heard any of your music, luisi- this track makes a good re-introduction.
Great job guys!

Haven't heard the soft yet, but super work on the hard version! This could be a case of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

this is truly a deranged collaboration and I'm inordinately proud of what you've made of it, liqih. Never have the like of such been heard. The little-voiced Karnatik gangsta always makes me roll with alughter - I love
him

Why not dance?
mellotronaughty thinks I make dance music
I have to admit liqih totally took the track in a direction even I'm not strange enough to have envisioned!
