It's not so much that, but I DO worry that if I follow all the above guidelines (especially the one about blankets etc) I'll just end up with a similar result to all the other piano samples out there - I've been quite happy with the sound AS IS, so wanted to capture that

So, what are you waiting for? Bring them samples up!

Yes--Now you have us waiting to hear the first few layers. (So we can all weigh in with different critiques? That would be enough to make anyone throw out a piano...)

I was hoping to get something usable before our cd launch, but ran out of time, and so I'm just thinking about this again now.
Of course, we still have to edit and mix the DVD
