BTW, for you all:
Chicken System Translator free is able to convert NN-XT soundbanks in other formats (nki, sf2, sfz, etc...).
I tried it on the guitar chord patch and it seems to translate correct.

I'm using it right now, but nki doesnt seem to work at all, sf2 becomes one sf2 for each sample. strange. im creating sfz, halion and exs for now. though sfz doesnt support alternating samples, maybe users need to program velocity layers. I just want to know if the translations work first.

Strange... I converted one of the guitar chord patch to .nki and I'm able to load it in VSampler (I do not own Kontakt). When I made the conversion, I checked the box that said to not convert samples, only programs.erans wrote:I'm using it right now, but nki doesnt seem to work at all

Conversion to .nki of a second one (you have to wait x number of minutes between each translation on the free version) this morning works like a charm in VSampler. I converted the Fmoll (F minor) Nilsson guitar chords.Patrice Brousseau wrote:Strange... I converted one of the guitar chord patch to .nki and I'm able to load it in VSampler (I do not own Kontakt). Caleb! Even though erans is snare backwards and the snare is one of my favourites, and I never thought of that, erans stands for "ericks refills are not synthetic"(because of me from the beginning only making reason format=refill) but even that are a construction from a nickname one of my most beloved friends gave me because of his way of twisting sounds and names and erick became "eraaaans" and I created this name from that. Im still Eráns to him(anders persson) and I hope all of you like the sounds that I've made and WILL create, and remember the name! Spread the word! I want to give to young poor music makers what I couldn't find. If you find a place to put the samples and share it - put them there, as long as the license is still there.

That's a cool story. Thanks for that.erans wrote:Caleb! I really like your ideals here too. Whole generations of musicians, whether hobbyists or artists trying to get heard have struggled with the expense of making music. It's really great that today more and more options are open for the generations to come.
It still requires hard work and talent(?), but at least it's easier on the pocket.
Regards
Caleb

Yeah! The computer made it possible for non-musicians to create music, and in multitude. But if we can build a library of sounds that limits the limits for creators of music, the only thing that can stop artists are the talent of the respective artists. (Hmm, can you say limit the limits?) I'd like that, if the only thing that would be significant for success would be the talent of the artist and not their inherit, deserved or superficial assets. That would greatly improve the arts! I can only do my part.
