I've been using your compressor quite a bit, I like it. I use it on drums mostly, I like the "Mono Low" option.
Now... if ooooonly it had side-chaining....

A bit of that eq with full saturation put after clean and smooth eq does wonders. Works like very controllable sound enhancer.
I've got to complain about the gui though: way too small and Q handles can disappear off the screen.
Love the compressor too. Thanks for free and great tools

Even more fun with the forthcoming feedback control!oblagon wrote:A bit of that eq with full saturation put after clean and smooth eq does wonders. Works like very controllable sound enhancer.
GUI is bigger in my internal version and hence also in the next release, the Q handles thingy will be rectified. Maybe not in the next release but sometimeoblagon wrote: I've got to complain about the gui though: way too small and Q handles can disappear off the screen.

I usually just update my first post in this thread so that it points you to the latest version
Again, sorry for the lack of updates. Been totally swamped lately.

One nice feature that I noticed on Reaktor's compressor, ReaComp, is the ability to select the freq-range that the compressor is triggered from.
I use your compressor on pretty much all my drum tracks, but one thing I noticed is LOTS of clicking when there is heavy sub-bass.

Weird, never noticed that myself. Otoh I'm using the pre-release version so maybe it's an issue I have forgotten that it used to exist, dunno. If it's still there whenever I manage to get the next release out remind me and I'll sort it out asap.bengeorge wrote:One nice feature that I noticed on Reaktor's compressor, ReaComp, is the ability to select the freq-range that the compressor is triggered from.

Sorry, no. Been busy with the developers challenge entry (amongst other things). Sucks that I don't enough time on my hands, but I'll get back to these two babies asap.

I've been using the compressor quite a bit with good results. Thanks again, and good luck with your entry.

A good four months later it's time for an update...
The EQ has been subjected to a variety if changes, so I ask for your forgiveness if I'm forgetting any of them.
I wouldn't any longer class this purely as an EQ, but it still is one. It's just that it's also turned into a mad multi-stage distortion unit. I would really appreciate if some guitarist would try it out on electric guitars, I myself prefer using feedback mode 2 and various amounts of saturation, but I don't have a guitar to try it out on
Here's what it currently look like:

Changes and fixes:
- bigger GUI
- saturation indicators on each band
- two feedback modes, handle with care! self-oscillation often occur!
- parameter smoothing (should get rid of those strange artefacts some of you where getting when tweaking knobs)
- input/output gain, to keep saturated and/or heavy boosted sounds under control
Let me know of any issues or suggestions you might have. And sorry for still not providing numerical input for the EQ controls!
Here's the DLL
