wow. amazing attention to detail guys. this thing sounds and plays wonderfully. very lean on cpu too, and very versatile. the randomizer is very hip! the drumsynth sounds extra cool and the level of flexibility on the samplers is nice.

the ui is of course top :) just as we come to expect from odo creations. the samples are very good, this is going to replace for me dr.fusion 2 :)

great work on this one!

instant classic. :hail:

i'm downloading now. looks incredible. i think this is one of those inventions that we've all been waiting for, and or trying to design. thanks odo!

Me too. This is why we did it :D

Thank you.
Yes, details are very important, as is the cpu use.
The random stuff, and the gathering of 3 killer modules was the core idea of Livetweaker. Then, with Odo's programming skills and the considerable amount of time spent, it became a colossus, and i ended up recording more than 400 samples from hardware drum machines through tube compressor, spring reverbs, analogue delays, filterbank, 8bit samplers, and made several kits using old synths (mainly the rather unique sound of my korg Ms-10).
We also added most of the sounds of Dr-Fusion2, and Odo made hundreds of C64 samples, because we can never have enough of 8bit ! :)

So i'm glad you like the samples, Grimmjack, as much as i like your Oatmeal skin :)

About the synth, it was a bit like icing on the cake, but i really didn't wanted a "1-0-1 vanilla synth", i had a quite specific sound in mind (both raw, lo-fi, and very polyvalent), and Odo's skills in that domain are just incredible !
So it quickly evolved into a synth that could have been released alone, suitable for sub basses, mad arpeggios, or crazies LFO.

I hope you will all enjoy it as much as we do ! :D

it'd be pretty cool to develop a nice step seq midi plug for running the live tweaker.

i know it's meant to be played in realtime, but :) ... i'm having fun with it in fl but i think i encountered a bug - livetweaker sampler parts are no longer played and it takes a little longer to actually start playback with sample channels or something. if i load the synth then just hit play it takes about 4 seconds to start playing. once i hit stop and try to play the sampler sections via keyboard or even clicking on the plug, nothing comes out. i'm going to try next in tracktion.

Thanks for this amazing little beast!

I did want to comment on two things. 1) For me the light next to the on/off button doesn't turn white when the sample is triggers (manual says it should). 2) The english manual goes to french breifly in section "4 - about the samples". A couple minor things, but I thought I'd throw them out there :)

I think part of this may be a known issue (stated in the manual page 13)?
If you use Fruity Loops, be sure to uncheck « reset plugins on transport » (in « options > audio settings »). This
is not a Livetweaker bug, but the way FL handles some plugins.
- Some users reported that in some hosts, using Livetweaker in a project, there could have a lag between the
moment you hit « start » and the moment the playback actually begins.
- The first time a sample is loaded and played, a small audio glitch can be heard. It only occurs the very first time
you play it.
- We recommend you to save your kits in the same time as your projects.

oh! known issue :)

this thing needs multiple outs :) smp | ksynth | bl would be great!

so we could process things with external effects, etc.

having a blast with this little machine! :hail: the BL synth sounds wicked. it's very expressive and the filter seems about the same ballpark as groovebox sound. i like the reverb too, and a tip; if you need more boost on something, and dont need reverb at same time, set reverb parameters in main to minimum (0 size, 0 width, 0 damp) but send whatever you want louder to the reverb, it sorta acts like an additional gain.

thanks very much guys, this thing rules.
