thanks everyone. ok i've finished all of the graphics now it's REALLY time to mockup/slice/export/animate.
will begin now. dont know how much i can finish but will try to do alot of it. i'm just as anxious as you guys are to get it done.

ok so i guess i'm not done with the graphics drawing part yet:
this is the stuff i've recognized that needs to be animated or exported separately/uniquely. the blocks with *'s means i need to create these.
so not done quite yet, but these shouldn't be that hard.
i'm trying to work and export and animate in such a way that other people who want to make changes will be able to load up any given control/file/background and do their color mods etc. it seems like a good layout that other skinners could work with as well if they just want to change bitmaps and not dive into the oms for xy|wh etc.
what i propose to do is create separate PSD files and organize them hierarchically in a logical manner and provide source in a ZIP file.
the actual skin distribution will be flat like you'd expect, gj-maple.oms and a gj-maple/* directory within the oatmeal skins directory.

oh yeah, does everyone feel the current way the oatmeal pots respond is sufficient/fine enough? it looks like fuzy used 44 frame knobs. i typically use 93 or 63 depending on the range. 93 for pots and 63 for sliders, though since the values are interpolated i think by the skin engine, i dont think it matters too much. it seems that the engine compensates to draw frames only when needed, and is unlike SE engine where if there are only 10 frames, there are only 10 control values possible?
anyway, let me know please if you have preference on travel distance for the faders and pots. if the current 44 is ok, i'm thinking the interpolation will make the number of positions relationship to the number of frames in the animation not an issue.

I tried with the default large skin, and with those knobs it's perfectly fine, don't know about larger knobs. Precise adjustments are possible, even without using the superfine modifiers.

I think the original skin's response was great with the the horizontal fine tuning. That's one of the reasons I found it quite usable despite the small size of the skin. It worked very well IMO. There was also the left-click for default setting and mouse-whell for centering; it was perfect. You didn't have to touch the kyboard with that skin. Actually, you can get by with only two frames to set any value,
which is great (especially for transparent overlays).

i.e.this is _very_ important for basses, if the startphase of the osc's is locked. they should be in _exact_ tune then ...

Ctrl+shit+drag sideways adjusts in 0.01 increments.
