Fabrizio Testa from IK Multimedia Italy just confirmed that they are removing the syncrosoft dongle from their products. Updates will be distributed via the user area of their website.

This means all IK Multimedia products should be able to run on Receptor. First of all, SampleTank 2 and Sonik Synth 2 will not use a dongle, and Philharmonik, CSR... will no longer need one.

Bravo IK Multimedia.

OK Muse, time for updating existing IK products, and create an installer for others ;)

Thank you IK!!!

I just might now buy something from you again.

Yeah, me too. Let's see how it goes. Good news.

The news is getting even better. I received an email from Project SAM that the truestrike un-dongled version is shipping soon as well. Good to see that developers are listening to users.

A big :tu: to IK and Project SAM

Thanks much IKM! and a big thank you to Squids who I am very sure had quite a bit to do in persuading IK to shed the dreaded dongles

That's one significant barrier down for me - that's for sure.

Receptor is becoming more attractive every day.
Last time I checked, it wasn't that easy to find a music store in Melbourne, Australia that were really willing to play with me when it came to Receptor. Maybe that's changed a little now.

You're welcome. But you can also thank yourselves for giving constructive feedback in the SR forum. It does count and developers do listen, particular when the conversation is civil and respectful.

I think it is about time we kick it up on the Receptor though what do you think? ;) I have mine fully loaded. Also, we set up Tony Banks from Genesis with a special version of Miroslav Philharmonik that is dongleless (and ST2 and SS2) to run on his Receptor.

Receptor + IK/SR Workstation Bundle = :D

I didn't
That is because you didn't pay a visit to your local "Amplitube 2 HAS BEEN RELEASED this month!!!" thread lately

I'm really looking forward to installing Philharmonik next to ST2 and SS2.

In fact, since I already have what is now called Total Workstation, I think Father Xmas may decide to bring me Total Effects if everything IK can now work on Receptor.
