is that a clean DI guitar to the plugin and nothing else? or did you feed it to an amp sim?
EQ020 loaded fine for me. The CPU build-up still occurs, but in a different way. I can see the build-up occur, then it drops back down after hitting a certain point.stefancrs wrote:Could someone who had denormal issues (CPU build-up when idling, IE, playing silence) or loading issues try this version out?
EQ020
Thanks, I probably know what's causing it!bobsled wrote:EQ020 loaded fine for me. The CPU build-up still occurs, but in a different way. EQ020
That would be absolutely awesome! Just don't sacrifice any of that great sound.stefancrs wrote:....I'll work some on getting general CPU usage down, should be possible to get it to about half of what it is now.
Just strange sort of indie rock. But it does mean that I'm trying out your eq monster on everything from bass and snare and kick to vox and horns.stefancrs wrote: May I ask what kind of sounds and music you've been trying it out on?
Ha ha ha! Yeah, I flipped out when I discovered this! That is just the plugin with a token delay and verb; It's like a Wah combined with a theramin! With the feedback all the way up, it'll emit a kind of sine wave and you can just sweep through and make crazy sounds, too. I have the preset at home, unfortunately, but I think it should be easy to recreate: go to preset #2, lower the feedback to about 80-90%, grab the middle spline and go! I think that's all I did.Kingston wrote:holy shit bduffy.

Like I said, that's just your EQ20 plugin. I seem to recall that the CPU was at about 10% when not sweeping the node, but it shot up when I was doing the sweeping, then blasted out of the park with automation.stefancrs wrote:What a great recording, it sounds _really_ cool! Any extra effects apart from delay/reverb used here?
50%? Whoa, that's high. What do you get when not doing any automation? Automation CPU can be reduced, and so can processing CPU. Not sure how much the automation CPU can be lowered though, will have to investigate this when all issues have been resolved.
Hey, no problem; literally my pleasure! I love hearing samples - what could be better?cheul wrote:And that is why mp3 demos are worth a lot around here. Thanks bduffy.
Yeah, I'd be happy to. Chug = good.stefancrs wrote:Awesome! Thanks
Will work on optimizing automation for the next release (and lower the volume of preset 2....)
If you got the time and will to do so, could you check it out if it can do chuggah-chuggah stuff to a clean DI guitar as well? That'd be great!
Cheers!
