hi. a couple of weeks ago i started a sample site on which there will be weekly offerings of electronic drum kits. there are 3 packs as of today, more or less experimental in nature, and i'm pretty sure the next ones i come up with will also be as odd. :)

the samples packs are created entirely by me and are released under the creative commons sampling+ license, so you are free to use them in your music, either commercially or not.

here's the link: http://blips.hit.bg

hope you like the sounds.

Not to devalue all this good info, but too much info is almost as bad as no info. What is the point of posting 400 URLs? Is someone going to go through every single site and listen to every single sample? This thread, in order to be useful, needs some sort of better classification system based on quality of site, pro/free, sample type/usage, and ideally a poll of some sort which will cause the good sites to stand out above the crap, because I have spent about 2 hrs clicking around on these sites, and a lot of them have really crap samples like "thick PHAT elektro beat (HARDCORE)" that sounds like it came out of a Casio SK-1. I dunno maybe there is another thread with a site poll or something, I'll look. Endless URLs are useless, unless you spend all your time sound hunting and none of it writing.

lol, obviously, someone would have to go through them ALL to ensure the classification system is up to its most usefulness. and don't forget that not everyone will agree as 2 what works and what doesn't.

The links are useful enough as they are, and you can alway create the classification system if you feel so strongly about it. and finally, there's always the option of creating your own samples.

another suggestion, is a sample recommendations pages... you might want to start that up... and there's also the option of creating a sample YUCK page... "I bet that will get a fair share of hits also." strange how that works.

That way, the review of every single sample can be spread out amongst the members.

Project Sam's current free samples (all but one in Giga, one in Giga3 and 24-bit wav, some in EXS/Kontakt/Halion)...although I don't know where to find their old 300+MB freebie collection, which, I gather was quite popular.

A student is releasing his original reason nn-xt and combinator samples and only wants a few songs made by some of the people who download them (just his samples though) in return for giving them to us.
