Hey ohm,

I just wanted to let you know that i think i've found a bug. My host is Bidule (however, i'm not sure if the bug is Bidule specific).

So, in the 'other midi controller config' setup i've assigned my midi controller to handle arrangement changes. I'll be triggering 8 arrangements from the controller. Every time i switch back to the 'main window' of Liveslice, one or more of the arrangment slots always reverts back an arrangement number, which affects all of the arrangement assignments after it. see the picture. Notice how under the arrangment columns some of the numbers repeat: 5,5,7,7,9,9,13,13. Every time i change them back to the desired arrangment number, they always revert to those numbers once i leave the settings window.

not to rush you...i know that your busy with the latest version....but i was planning on using Liveslice for a set in 9 days! I won't be able to use it unless this is solved

thanks for such a wonderful piece of kit!

any word on this? :)

should be an easy fix, I'll look at it right away, contact me by email for a test version. Only complication is that I'd need to dig out an old version of the code so you won't be using a beta on stage - that would be a bit risky I think...

I fixed the problem in the 1.45 beta, I suggest you try that one. It's a very stable beta, if you really need it you can probably pursuade me to implement a fix in the old code, but so much has changed in LiveSlice from 1.44 to 1.45 (using the 2.4 sdk) so it's not a simple matter of copy and pasting the fix unfortunately. How much time do we have until that show of yours?

Nah, don't worry about going into the old code. I'll just use 1.45 beta. My show got pushed back indefinately, so no rush. Where can i get the beta?

Thanks ohm, i absolutely love liveslice! By the way, i'm controlling liveslice with monome.....have you had a look at monome? it is the ultimate companion to liveslice, imho! I'm using one bank. I assign the top 3 rows to trigger different arrangements within the bank. The rest of the pads are assigned to randomize slices, mute, solo, etc.

yeah, I read your post about monome actually - nice tooyl in deed. You can get the beta by emailing me from the account you have registered with LiveSlice, fresh new build ready for ya' think i'll send it out to all the beta testers soon, even though rx2 import is not there yet, just to get feedback on the time-stretching.

That's awesome news ohm.
I'm always glad to see a new version of LiveSlice.

Really looking forward to see what rx2 import adds to the experience when it's done. I don't have any rx2 players, so LiveSlice is going to be it for me and I have been a bit interested in SonicReality's RAW soundsets. :D

Regards
Caleb
