Hi Guys
Cain - Yes, if you own Eve One and the access to the FreeZone already, then the upgrade to ManyOne full version for you is $9.95!!! But remember the Soundsets are the same as the Original EveOne Soundsets, they are just converted to Wusik/ManyStation WusikSNDs and there is a bank of Presets that refer to these converted soundsets.
You guys who own EveOne can also just take the Free Update to ManyOne which does not include the Presets or converted soundsets or the New Skins, nor the FreeZone access. This free update includes the ManyOne Dll and the Original Eve Skin converted for the new GUI. This version will refer to your existing DashSnds from your original purchase. See details in my post earlier for full options for EveOne owners.
About the Release .... I just received word from Aldo that he plans on having the installers to me by Monday if not before. PC version is ready, he is just finishing up the Mac stuff.
I'll surely announce once we are Live.
Thanks Again.

Is there any provision for converting E1 patches and banks? I've got a bunch of them hanging around and while most of them are fairly simple the idea of having to recreate them manually in ManyOne* isn't all that exciting.
* started to abreviated that as M1, then realised why that wouldn't be a good habit to form

Is "E1" EVE version 1, or EVE ONE?jPod wrote:Is there any provision for converting E1 patches and banks? I've got a bunch of them hanging around and while most of them are fairly simple the idea of having to recreate them manually in ManyOne* isn't all that exciting.

ManyOne is the replacement for EVE ONE. FXBs and FXPs from EVE ONE will not load in ManyOne, but it does come with an EVE ONE skin, so you can replicate the knob positions
Banks and patches from EVE version 1 will not load at all in ManyOne, but will load in EVE version 2.

That's partly why liqih passed EVE ONE over to Manytone to become ManyOne.original flipper wrote:HI

For further clarification, EVE versions 1 and 2 load up to three soundsets at any one time (similar to the mutant offspring WusikStation). EVE ONE and ManyOne only load one soundset in total.

Hi
Ya Dan basically explained it.
ManyOne and Eve One will still run side by side so that all your old songs will continue to load that used your EveOne Dll. We suggest all present Eve One users continue to keep their old versions installed or else manually change song references and any of your own presets to ManyOne if they wish to do so. (Note: of course it is best to only use the new ManyOne version if you can, then you don't have to keep track of Old Dlls and files)
As the Product and Dll name and some internal coding has changed, it is not possible to make your Presets created for Eve One autoload in ManyOne.
But... the original Eve One never shipped with any presets anyways, so most users should be fine. If you have old songs, just keep both dlls loaded. Just be sure to BackUp your Old EveOne Files and data in case you need to reinstall it down the road as ManyTone will not distribute the old Eve One Dll and files.
Ya Flipper.... That is why Luigi eliminated Eve One and just kept Eve.

Ok, I was hoping there might be something like the WS converter that changes V1 bank files into V2 presets. It's hardly a deal breaker (I'll be upgrading regardless) but it would have been a nice convenience feature.manytone wrote:As the Product and Dll name and some internal coding has changed, it is not possible to make your Presets created for Eve One autoload in ManyOne.
I'm just wondering how many other people bothered to make presets for EVE One. As you noted it didn't come with any and I never saw any floating around here of PatchArena (r.i.p.) etc.. I tried to stir up some interest once by coming up with a modest pack of my own for the free version -- but that generated only slightly more interest than my failed "Free Kick in The Nuts" business from 1992.
BTW, Thanks to Dhanjit for the polite and succinct clarification. I thought given the title, context and other explanations in the thread's history that I didn't need to state explicitly that I know the difference between "Eve One" and "version one of EVE" -- but Kvr being Kvr I certainly can't argure with your assumptions.
Maybe we need some sort of catchphrase or signoff to indicate that the poster knows the difference. Something like "'Nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat" or "Surrender Dorothy!" or "Didn't you kill my brother?"...

Good one *nod*
Yes, there was a lot of wusik presets that needed converting as the new version of the Same Product broke compatibility. I think this is a little different as there were not Thousands of factory presets at all in this case.
Anyways... If you ever have another go at some presets for the ManyOne, We will surely put them on the Manytone Website. What would be cool is to have an FXB bank made up using some of the FreeZone stuff. There is some great stuff that could be made into some decent ManyOne Presets in there.
Delay on the installer as a couple of the Beta Guys found a bug at the Very last moments before release.
I should receive the final installers any time though.
