Ok, I've probably been confused by the amount of Nexus threads. You're actually right.

So, whichever mod moved this thread: Get a f**king clue and stop acting like a freaking reFX fanboy prick!

If you think about it, It really makes no sense for kevvvv, if he truly is a 'reFX fanboy', to be trying to harm a thread who's every intention is to promote a civil and balanced discussion on NEXUS, other than I pissed him off by outing his shameful Gestapo-like behavior.

edit: And think about this too, the deluge of NEXUS threads is the direct result of Kevvvvs behavior. He surreptitiously deleted entire threads, and moved others - that many agree did not warrant that degree of censorship, if any at all. So if anyone wants to complain about all the F'n NEXUS threads, blame kevvvv, cause he's the guy stirring the pot IMO.

According to Manuel, the future Trance expansion will be done by store & forward ( www.store-n-forward.com ).

BTW - He did all the presets for the factory and current 4 expansion sets. If you look at the preset list of just the factory stuff (posted above, and on the reFX NEXUS page) you'll realize this was no small task. He states it took him over a year of work. Wow.

Not to dredge up the whole skins thing again, but I think it worth noting that reFX did offer those who signed up prior to a certain date, their choice of one extra skin for free. This is a kind offer. Hopefully, they'll see the wisdom of extending that offer permantly for NEXUS.

I'm sorry, but I think this is a *normal* offer.

Well now that everything's calmed down a bit, I can jump back into this whole Nexus thing. :D

I'm kind of excited about the demo. I'm going to freak if I find out it has no LFO, though.

I don't think this can be the case. Muse Research own KVR. Ben is the administrator of KVR (and has always been) and an employee of Muse Reserch. Kevin is not. I think Kevin is just one of the first members and only still moderator for old times' sake. This here is by no means the first time he used his mod-powers a bit questionably.
Muse Research only took over KVR a couple of years ago or so. Kvr was around before Muse was even a company if memory serves correctly. I stand by my theory. Ben is member #2.............

Don't think so. There're still small storms browing not wanting to calm down. But then again, maybe it's just my imagination.

If there is one. Was one announced? If so, got a link?

I reread the article in the latest KEYS Germany issue again. I looks like (and if I read that right of course) as if you'll have to miss out on a LFO. According to KEYS you'll only have control over a master Gate, master ARP (presets can't be changed), you can change the Vibrato and the filter (cutoff, env, res, ADSR), with the MFX page of the VSTi you can also change pitch and dry/wet signals, and then some. But I didn't see anything about LFO's in those small screenshots.

You're pretty much stuck with the sounds that're provided - the heart of every rompler. If I can remember the Northmood can't do much more either.

That's indeed a lot of work and effort he put in there - no doubt. Especially after seeing that he likes to tickle out everything with the synths he created patches for and careing a lot for detail in terms of samples (that he released parallel while he worked on the factory bank for NEXUS).

If there really will be a demo out, I'd love to take a listen. Whether or not I have the budget or a real need for it, is a different issue.

*cough - or if I'm allowed to*

Go to the Nexus website. Says... "demo coming soon."

That sounds kind of retarded, but better than nothing, I guess. Mr. Kleps still has to master the ways of the rompler...

Actually that 'professional' review link I posted earlier, is a pretty interesting read, and no I don't read German, I translated the page using babelfish (which makes for some strangeness, but oh well I got the gist).

Ben is member #1 (Kevin is #12) http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/memberlist.php - he has set up KVR and has always administrated KVR - Muse Research bought KVR from him - that's why he is now their employee

Weird, my posts say member #69, yet I show up as #53 in that list. Deleted members I guess.
