Some sweet beats and stuff in the middle.

Sein und Zeit is giving me a headache.

Love the static rain in the first part... and those big whoooops... fun when the beat appears, like the pad stuff, and that frozen snare, some great panning there too... didn't see the ELO strings coming, but wow!, there's an 80's pop track in there for sure... beautiful sad part after with the buzzy synth and the ep, really like this part!... then kind of a horror feel at the end.

Man, what a journey, you cram so many possibilities into one track! Most excellent!

Good luck with the paper!

kinky. idm for octogenarians (from a different planet)?

Post

sound like whale songs in the beginning

because the snare and rim-clickish sound sound dampened/dull they don't really cut through the mix. might want to brighten them up. maybe a sharper hi-hat sound there?

Thanks, Genetic_Junk. I'm really enjoying 318, appreciate the ear candy.

phenomenal piece...like glimpsing into a vastly different rooms holding vastly disparate objects while being impelled down a vastly distinctive corridors

thanks for listening all. I'm recovering from the 24hour flu, which I contracted after posting. It's kinda hard to write a paper while vomiting. I can't wait to be done with finals and have some real (as opposed to the fake time I have during finals) time to make music.

> kinda hard to write a paper while vomiting

just keep a copy of Nausea at your side.

Hehe. Actually I've limited Sartre to "Existentialism is a Humanism"

Apparently this is going to last longer than 24. Still dry heaving. Guess it's time for a antiemetic.

ginger might work.

It's all in your head.

I think I'm finally done with this flu thing. Thanks for the suggestions rachmiel and polyslax. What's really messed up is that while I was having the most intense vomiting of my life, I was thinking about how these existentialists would react to the same situation.

> how these existentialists would react

they'd probably cry for their mommies.

GeneticJunk, out of curiosity, since you are discussing Sartre's "Existentialism is a Humanism," are you also including in your discussion Heidegger's response to it in "Letter on Humanism?" For in this he demonstrates that Sartre is a straight up metaphsician - which is bad- and perhaps the last in a long distinguished line that runs from Plato through Nietzsche. If you aren't, don't mean to nudge you off course.

Ciao!

Actually gambay, I am not including that in my analysis. You'd think for a forty pager I would, but somehow I've found plenty of material to work with. After the final I might discuss "Letter on Humanism?" with my professor and get his thoughts on the subject. Don't worry, my course is firmly set. If anything, you've sparked some interest in a subject that was becoming rather mundane (I've been working on this paper non-stop for too long).
