Listening to the LP for the first time and ripping it directly to mp3.
Sounds rather savage, actually. They certainly ain't lost any of the drive. Worthy of purchase, fo sho...

Crap, I was almost hoping they'd started to suck so I wouldn't have another thing to add to my buy list. :hihi:

Don't have anything by them... :?

Anyways, Napalm Death recorded, I'm on to Between Two Worlds by I (which is essentially an Immortal record without the corpsepaint and delightful posing)...

You really need to fix that, then!
Highly influential to the Swedish scene, and better than even some of their later Entombed stuff, IMO.

Speaking of old Swedish stuff, you haven't heard any Mefisto, do you? That stuff is just f**king GREAT, and needs to get re-issued PRONTO. Blows my mind that they were making black metal that great back in '86, don't understand why they aren't revered as one of the fathers of the sound…

Currently Listening: Márta Sebestyén & Muzsikás - Bújdosódal
First heard this song in a documentary on Transylvanian folk music called Beyond The Forest, she has such an amazing voice…

The Nihilist demo beat the pants off a couple of Left Hand Path tracks..Alot of demos back then were better than the LP's that followed, especially ones that asshole Scott Burns produced..

DOn Cabellero-World CLass Listening Problem.

Also been back into some older shit recently (various albums)

-INfernal Majesty
-Acid Bath
-Eyehategod

The new Napalm (Smear campaign)is good, maybe even very good, but they almost need to re-invent themselves again, considering this about the 4th album in a row that is essentially the same, starting from "Enemy of the Music Business".. BUt also I think they are the best of all the older Death/grindcore bands still out there.. Even though their albums remain similar, they still sound energetic and fresh,, unlike band such as Cannibla Corpse, MOrbid Angel, etc...which have lost all the energy this music is about.. Suffocation's new one is very good though, but their "comeback" album, Souls to Deny, sucked major dick..
