Miroslav Philharmonik - Notes chokes when use expr-pedal...

Hi, I think I have asked this question before, but because of my problem with Miroslav I have not made any demos in almost a year. That's a shame because Philharmonik sounds so damn good IMO.
Here's what I do (and hopefully where I do something wrong):
When I chose a AMV-patch (for instance a violin-patch) and play it together with my expression-pedal (which I have assigned to control modulation-data) after a few notes I get a choke-effect. I have no idea why this happens as I only play single-notes, not chords, and it still chokes the notes... The polyphony is set to 32 which should be more than enough to play simple one-note lines...(or am I wrong?) If I turn up the poly to say 128 notes, I can play with the expression-pedal without any trouble, but 128 note for only one stereo patch playing single notes can't be right... I have not tried playing with a dedicated modulation-wheel because my keyboard doesn't have any (only a useless mod/pitchbend-combo) but could the fact that I use an expression-pedal, however set to controll CC1, instead of a mod-wheel be the reason I am experiencing this?
It's nothing wrong with my computer as all of my other orchestral libraries run flawlessly on it. I'm using Cubase SX3 but that shouldn't have anything to do with it either...
Any thoughts on this...?
Chris

You are not alone. I have not analyzed this as deeply as you, but I have noticed something similar when I use Miro. I use SX3 and now Cubase 4, so maybe it's something Miro does with the host. Or possibly a glitch with the midi data being read from the pedal? Either way, I'd also be interested if anyone has a fix.

Good to hear I'm not the only one with this problem... The last time I asked this question Philharmonik had just hit the shelves so it was no wonder nobody had experianced anything similar... Lets just hope this is a minor Miro-bug as I use and still intend to use SX3 and it is not likely steinberg will do any fixes with SX3 now that Cubase 4 is released...
It might be as you said a glitch with the midi-data being sent from the pedal instead of the modwheel... However, when assigning CC11 to control swell (within Philharmonik), e.i, making a user-patch, I get the same problem... Thats why I'm starting to think this has something do do with Miro having problems with expressionpedal-data... Just thinking loud now mind you...
Hope Squid or anyone involved in Philharmonik can take a look at this and hopefully it'll be fixed....

I'm guessing that this might be an easy fix, since none of my other IK modules do this. Plus, if/when Miro goes dongless, the patches could probably just be ported over to ST2 and played without a hitch.
By the way, Shantar, you might want to look at the Cubase 4 upgrade from SX3. Unfortunately you have to get it directly from the Steinberg site (they're not letting dealers like Esoundz carry it), but very good value for the money IMHO. Little touches add up to big time savings for me when I'm working on a project. And the new instruments aren't bad either, especially the Halion sample player with the Motif waves. Lots of useful stuff there.

Is this still happening to you with the latest update? I ask because I too had problems with controllers choking things up when playing a fairly big stack, but I have to say that ,for me, this latest update has cured this completely.
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Sounds strange. Are you getting an exclamation mark ("!") next to the polyphony number? Maybe try using your keyboard's built-in modulation controller (you hate it, but try it anyway). I can't think of why the expression pedal could be causing it, unless it's sending a bunch of other MIDI data as well.

I haven't updated yet either, but it sounds like good news with this update.
Kim-
This was definitely not a poliphony problem, at least with me. Usually the first thing I look for.
