Any good free or cheap programs for making soundfonts? I found this http://www.synthfont.com/ anyone used it before?

Viena also is a respected one.
Alas, with all editors the process is cumbersome...

Not V-Sampler = piece of pie, but far from free. Demo runs for 30 days IIRC, try it out.

If you can use Linux, there is Swami which is open source and free. Works wonderfully.
