So, thanks again Squids! Without a doubt, R.A.W. is going to be an important part of my next album, the sequel to the winner of the "Best Techno Album" of 2006 in the JPF music awards. Oh, and worth noting, the integral tool that I used to beef up the sound of the album (that I'm also using on the follow-up) and master it was none other than.. T-RackS!
Just got R.A.W. and...

...I love it!
There's a real goldmine of inspiration here. It's a great compliment to RMX, which has a solid library, but a little too 'experimental' for my tastes at times. This fills it out very nicely and then some. I especially like the melodic material. For example, on a track I started yesterday, I wrote an intro part that just seemed like it was missing a little something. One of the riffs from the funk guitar section did the trick! A little extra processing and it was good to go. I'm already using two other R.A.W. loops in the very same track, actually (and I'm only 1:10 in!)
