It has taken more then 6 months of hard work !!! A big team (almost 30 of my friends , drummers and computer's users !) helped me out ! The acoustic kits were recorded in the studio ! Other samples were produced with various electronic drum machines ! Other's were produced with almost all the softwares with wich drums can be produced ! A really hard work !

From the guy who already brought us a very big bunch of free refills we are now seeing a large and high quality refill packed to the rim with drumsamples. No less then 8000 of them are present in this massive drumsound refill. Doru Malaia gets you to all the drums you will most likely ever need in your music making life. There's so much in this refill that i'm allready taking out the bandages coss my fingertips will burn after writing this review. In the refill you will find real drums recorded from drum kits in a professional studio. But also drumsounds created using (soft)synths of all kinds. There's really so much in there that it will take you a long time to listen to them all.

As you can see there are very much drumsounds in this refill. Now will many of you already think that for $29 you just can't get 8000 high quality usable drumsamples. Well, trust me when i say that you couldn't be more wrong. This is just essential stuff to get your hands on. There can't possibly be one reason not to order this cd.
How's the soundquality?
The soundquality is just great. All live drums have been recorded in 24 bit, then processed and dithered down to 16 bit to keep the filesize in order while still maintaining perfect clarity and overall soundquality. The drumsounds all sound very good and are clearly made by people who knew what they were doing. Doru is a well established musician in Romania and he works with a lot of professionals which helped him out to get to this remarkable product. Doru also made it very clear to me that all the samples are originals and that you won't find these sounds anywhere else, not on the internet and neither in any other sample collection.
It's also needless to say that this disc isn't made with one particular genre in mind. It's not only real drumkits which have been sampled. Lot's of sounds are synthetic to give you the best of both worlds. Many times drums are the samples one looks for everywhere. I know i always like to collect drumsamples from various sources. Either on the internet or commercial. Well, look no further, i think it's time to stop collecting because Doru Malaia has just delivered any drum sound one can possibly think of!!
2 Versions
This collection can be bought in 2 different versions. You can get it as a refill which clearly saves some hd space for you since the samples will get compressed then. But you can also buy the cd which has the seperate wav files on them for use in multiple programs and VSTi drumcomputers. Both discs have pro's and cons. Obviously will the refill version save you on hd space but it will also restrict you from using the samples in any other program or sample editor for any further tweaking of the sounds. Which the Wav version does allow. You can make that choice yourself and it doesn't cost you any more money. The set price is $29 for both versions. All samples can be used without any problems whatsoever. They are all originally created by Doru Malaia.
Conclusion
If you didn't pay close attention during the period you were reading this review i'll tell you once more: GET HOLD OF THIS COLLECTION!! Your life as a musician will be so much easier. There are so many great drum sounds in this refill that it will suit you for years to come. All sorts of drums can be found. From bassdrums to snares and from shakers to guiro's and all inbetween. This collection deserves a fat 10 coss it's unbelievable value for money and the quality is also rock solid!
This disc truly is the final word in drumsamples for sure!

I must say that the payment and delivery was painless. I got the CD in quick time - great service.
The CD itself is amazing. It is very well set out with an excellent directory structure making it very easy to find the type of drum yourlooking for. If you cannot find what you are looking for on this CD I will be VERY surprised. There is an abundance of choice on this CD. Everything you would expect and more is included from the electronic through to acoustic with some unusual sounding drums and percussion along the way. Excellently recorded and edited it is a great treasure trove for using to build up custom kits for your projects - highly recommended.

There are more samples then you may ever need, 2400 bass drums, 2600 snare drums, over 1000 Hi-Hats, and a great collection of Natural and Classic percussion. This is a really great refill, wow! For some weeks, Doru MALAIA promised us that something very useful for the future was on its way... Now I understand the message. So I repeat: Everything is there within a few words, and one word links to an ensemble of very good quality samples. A quality that you can hear. I like the way how the samples are organized, which makes the search of the sounds much more intuitive. And I like that you have the choice between a Sample CD and a Propellerheads® Reason Refill CD. I consider Doru MALAIA Superdrums 8000 is much more a present than a product. And already now Superdrums 8000 has opened a door to my future compositions, at least for the next 8000 years!

Your SUPERDRUMS 8000 refill CD is excellent. Playing with Reason's Redrum has never been this much fun before. Everything I do with your percussion sounds comes out sounding great. Several of the soundbanks would be worth the price alone, such as the 89 steel drums, the 34 timpani, the 413 toms, not to mention the gongs, guiros, taikos, tambourines and tibetan bells and more. Well what can I say?
The SuperDrums 8000 sample CD does exactly what it says on the tin!
I bought the .wav version for full flexibility and have not been disappointed. This collection of wavs has already become my one-stop-shop for all my drum sample needs. Given the quality, diversity and sheer number of samples, this CD certainly lives up to its ‘professional’ name.
I look forward to creating many Redrum Patches , with 8000 samples the possibilities are pretty much endless !

Now we're talking about something great!
I was waiting about something like this for too long: a refill that brings quality and diversity together at a very fair price. This CD isn't just great; it is H-U-G-E. It covers all my need for drum samples, and far more. For sure , I'll use it my whole life.
The catalog is very impressive, for example, you can even choose you're samples randomly. So if you stick to one snare, and if you're lucky enough, you could be the only one to use it in the world!
I finally concluded, after listening to the samples as much as my patience could handle, that the quality of the samples were beyond my expectations for a wide collection as this one.
They're just superb!
To people that don't think it's possible: YES IT IS! At least someone that give you the choice:

I am really amazed of what you could do ! Really ! This is probably the best cd i have ever bought ! Man it's brilliant i have the whole collection i need here .... Have you considered running for the nobel Prizes ? And i'm not kidding ! I just finished installing and using the new SUPERDRUMS 8000 refill. I needed some extra percussion on my latest composition and the samples on Doru's collection was my missing link. These samples are all in stereo and work perfectly in the Redrum module. You can tell that only the finest recording techniques were used in creating these samples. I highly recommend this disc. It's the ultimate collection of percussion for the greatest music program ever invented; Reason. Thank you Doru for filling the percussion void with your most excellent samples. I'm looking forward to a "strings" and "brass" collection.

The Superdrums 8000 ReFill truly rocks! It is an exhaustive CD compressed down to a 218 MB ReFill with categories that run to all the percussion instruments I can think of, from rock drums to orchestral timpani. The ReFill will be useful to all music producers, but some of the sounds are particularly excellent for dance music producers - for example there is a folder with 59 reverse cymbals. These will be really useful either dry or passed through a processor. I've also enjoyed auditioning the guiros folder. Anyway, I've auditioned most of the ReFill, and I'm looking forward to basing techno percussion tracks around Doru's sounds - the sampling is fantastic (no clicks or noise) and the timing is rock solid. I'd definitely recommend these to any musician!

The Super Drums 8000 Wav Cd package arrived in less than a week which impressed me coming from so far away.The first thing I noticed about the samples is how well organized they are,each category with it's own subfolder.The samples themselves are clean, crisp and well constructed.Not a pop or spike to be found so far.I say so far because it will take quite a while to test all 8000 samples.There is something for everyone here from electronic style drums to acoustic drums to world percussion.The snares alone will keep you busy for several days, over 2600 and all excellent quality.I really like the bass drum samples,some very meaty kicks included in the selection.It would be possible to constuct literally hundreds of kits from the wide selection of samples.From Latin sounds to Tibetan Bells to cutting edge electronica there is something for every style of music on this cd.Factor in the incredible low price of $29.00 shipping included and this cd becomes a must have for anyone seeking high quality drum samples at a low price.

It didn't take long to decide on ordering the Superdrums 8000 Refill from Doru Malaia. The quality is pristine, all the samples are the same level, very professional recording. Most of the music I record requires an acoustic drum sound. It was nice to find a package that has a wide variety of acoustic, natural sounding samples that would fool anyone into thinking it was a live drummer. Percussions like timpani, aggogo, bamboo, vibraslap and other exotic hard to find sounds round out the collection. There is also plenty of modern dance drum sounds making this package the ultimate drum sample library.
Superdrums 8000 is a no brainer. The bang for the buck is unmatched in anything I ever purchased. It would take years to outgrow this package.

I decided to buy the CD after reading the reviews by other buyers, every Reason user needs more drum sounds and this is the complete answer! As soon as the CD arrived I loaded up a Redrum with the sounds and was truly amazed ! The quality far out does the reason soundbanks and instantly inspires new compositions and will make you want to go back over all your tunes and add Doru's magnificent collection. Although I have a huge library of drum hits that Ive built up over years they dont come near to the quality or quantity that this CD offers, for the price it is the most essential addition to Reason that you will ever need. All hail Doru Malaia!!!

I don't honestly know where to even begin, but I must say as a user of Reason this has to be the most ultimate Drum ReFill you could possibly ever find! I don't think I will ever run out of sounds, and quality sounds at that, I have gone thru every folder and attempted to hear everything (there are, after all, 8000 SAMPLES!) but given the power of manipulation thru pitchbending and effects, there is probably 8 billion sounds!
Drumming is my thing, and being able to play these incredible samples using my DrumKAT or TrapKAT is incredible!

I was a bit skeptical at first to hear of 8000 drum sounds on a CD. I thought to myself that most of the sounds would sound the same. After receiving my SUPERDRUMS 8000 (wav samples format sounds),and I started using them to some of my hiphop beats, I was really amazed as to the extra kick it gave to my music. I love the large selection to choose from too, especially in the Snares. I am definitely happy with the set, and hope to see a new set soon from you as well, maybe even a set in wav format of different piano sounds, guitar sounds, or even a soundfont selection to choose from as well. You have done well with these sounds though, and I am definitely pleased with them... makes me very anxious to see your next projects for sale. Thanks again!

i thought the superdrums 8000 that u sent me is absolutely brilliant,i knew that there would b alot of samples on there but there was far more than i ever expected, i dnt think i will have to use my reason factory soundbank again, all these samples or recorded in soo much quality and are going to boost my tracks big time, i especially klike the reverses that sound really good and atmospheric,i have only flicked through some of the samples as have only just booted them up to my computer!! its gonna take me a life time to go thru all the sounds ...which is a good thing, i know have totally different sounds than my friends now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doru is one of those 'rare' breed of human beings that possesses fine altruistic qualities, his free ReFill series is a testament to that. The new Professional Series though, are & we're indeed worth waiting for. Ive been collecting professional quality sample libraries for the last 4 years +, & never in my time have I personally come across a disc with content on it like Superdrums 8000 has. Now Ive had a good chance to 'test drive' the material within this disc I firmly believe that it deserves a place in my sample libraries A list stock, this stuff comprises of the 'bread & butter' sounds that I reach for first whenever writing a track from scratch; these discs never fail & always seem to get me 'off the ground' so to speak.
