I vaguely remember some kind of patent issue, that Giga/Tascam owned the patent on the technique and prohibited its development elsewhere, or was it just the trademark on the term?
I don't know how the others got around the patent issue or what technical differences there may be between the different streaming engines but they all do stream from hard disk so that larger instruments than will fit in RAM can be used.

I'm not really convinced, and maybe the deal is over already.. but if not I think I'll get it anyway since it's such a steal ;-)

if you don't have a decent sampler I would get it fast for that price.

its far too cpu hungry for a wav player (even without fx and filters)

That's the thing. I have HighLife to sample VSTs (and from the limited time I spent with it I think it's a good sampler), and normally I'd use FL studio's sampler slots for the rest.

Haven't seen any replies yet that really make me think I can't pass up this deal.

It took quite a while before people replied in this thread. And most the replies in the first page are people wondering the same thing. I think it's a legitimate question.

Cheap is good, but I just want to make sure I'm not buying a 39 dollar shiny thing I'll never use.

39$ is two pizza's

Post

I see, so 99$ get me about 5 pizzas! Great, just what I wanted to know.

Ya, butt after you're through with those 5 pizzas you'll have a tremendous Plug-out! :hihi:

Why don't you just hurry and try the demo?

Also others were asking if it comes with samples, answer is Yes, downloadable from samplefusion.com (not entire catalogue, only selections)
