So guys, how is it coming? I asked back in early january about when Angelina would be availble for Mac and you said it was in development and would be out soon. I also noticed someone asked about this as far back as September of last year....
Mid-May 2003, where does Angelina for MacOs stand?[/b]

That's a touchy issue. I've made a deal with a (well-known) Mac-only developer, about 1 year ago, to port Angelina to Mac. Here's the last email I got from him in March:

So, it's kinda stuck at the moment. The only thing I can do is point him to this thread, provided he gets my emails...

Since then... no more news. No reply to my emails... nothing. Don't know what happenedAll ready to go for OS X here... I"m working up the beta installers.

Many of us still use OS9, any idea if he ever did a version for Os9?

He Tick,
I talked to a good friend of mine (one of those I already had some beer with). - He's a (well-known) Mac-only developer formerly well-known as PC-only developer who meanwhile did both
The first beta of A. looked very well but cost way too much cpu (Macs are lame...). I think he wanted to optimize that stuff for PowerPC/Altivec, cause of too many float-int conversions or anything, dunno. - And then, there had been those typical OS X problems with VSTGUI (which he can patch now because the source has arrived). Well, and wasn't Frankfurt inbetween?
Unfortunately, he had some deadlines with his own products recently, so I guess after a short rest he'll be back on track again. Hopefully.
Cheers,
Urs

I just tried out Angelina and BAM! How cool is she or what..
I'm becoming a "Big" Big Tick fan. rhino is quickly becoming my friend and Angelina is well a Lady...
The two really go together
I gotta wait for the return of Tick to buy it...
Does it come with more pre-sets????
Looks easy to program

Haha, thanks. When it's finished (still "public technology preview"), it'll be on PC as well. Promised. (Or so). I think I'll buy a PC for that and do it myself (...ssssshiver... anyone know if VST can be build with Linux?)pough wrote:Port Zoyd to the PC! It's a way-cool synth and I'd love you forever if you do! (Hi Urs!)
Let Tick do more inventions and kick a well-know developer in his lazy a**!

Yeah. Well. Maybe I could have helped with the engine optimisation...The first beta of A. looked very well but cost way too much cpu (Macs are lame...). Anyway. Say Hello to our common friend - he can email me any time

Well, Angelina is mostly done for AU/VST9/VSTX, there's just one last showstopper to figure out. There actually was a beta of the AU version back in late February, but the aforementioned showstopper put things on hold.

Or, let's say, I'll get you as many Hefeweizen as I get voices of Angelina on my G4 450 by then
