Music Theory Thread.

Boring I know but...

1.This thread is titled 'Music Theory Thread' - which isn't very descriptive for users subsequently wanting to now what the Coda sign is used for etc.

2.It contains two separate topics.

Surely the title of posts (particularly in this shiny new forum) should specify the question likely to be answered in it, and it would seem to make a lot of sense to keep to one question type per thread... otherwise this thread could end up as long as the 'Amplitube...' one and require so much sifting as to be effectively worthless?

When I created this thread, there was no music theory subforum. I guess a mod seen my post about creating such a thing in my other "time signatures" thread and decided theory was in need of a new subforum.

Well, I figured, one unified thread, though it could turn out long, would help a lot of people if we could share as much info about music theory in one thread. I thought about it the fact that it could get a bit out of hand, but what at kvr ever doesn't?
