I'd rather become familiar with using eah particular scale before I try to be too risky, and i'm already having fun just playing in one key now. I, to an extent, understand what is being said here, but i'm gonna read a little more into chords and all before I fully grasp all that has been said in this thread so far.

Here's Playa in C with all the 7th chords from the Harmonic Minor in RED...

Here it is with the Modes showing. Notice that all the Harmonic Minor Chords previously selected say H.Minor(x) where x is the scale position. In other words they're all diatonic to Harmonic Minor...

Finally here it is with alternative scales for the chords of the Harmonic Minor scale showing on drop-downs.

Same Key, same chords, entirely different melodic possibilities.
