Did you remember to lay out the cheese for your Holiday feast? Maybe I can help!

As some of you know, I am quite keen on crappy old rhythm generators. Lately, I have been having some fun with a Wersimatic WM24 I picked up from Analogue Haven. This old German cheese-o-matic is a spitting, hissing, popping, percolating joy. You can see the lovely old dear in this pic, under the Future Sound Mobius:

In any event, I have recorded some of my favorite rhythms from the thing and zipped them up into a file for you to download:

There are sixteen loops...all at around 114.35 BPM. There are also a handful of one-shot drums from the thing that you can load into the sampler of your choice. Sounds are 16-bit mono, and the whole shebang is a little over five megs.

Enjoy!

Do you have one of the rhythm boxes that came with some Hammond organs? My L-295 has one built into the music stand, but I've also seen them in a drawer-like assembly that bolted under the manuals of full-size Hammonds. Kinda neat, esp for the 70's technology (my L-295 was from 1971).

I don't! I always check out Hammonds at flea markets and garage sales in the hopes of finding a good deal on one...but no luck so far!
