sampletank digi version?

ive been playing with my friends version of sampletank that came with his mbox. whenever i play fast, it goes comletely out of whack. im not sure if there is a technical term for this. the velocities change and the notes turn into noises. are we doing something wrong or just a goofy install or something.......

The technical terms are "latency" and "buffer size". You have a soundcard problem, not a software problem (most likely).

Does it also happen when you play big two-handed chords? Like kovacs alluded to, it could be that your friend's soundcard buffer is set too low and his CPU can't keep up.

i hadnt even thought of that. its not latency, ill check the buffer..thanxxxx
