Drums & Guns has leaked...i'm not sure if it's the final mix, and i don't really care. Amazing songs though, can't wait 'til it hits the shops.

Going to cause a few divisions this one (Long ones <chortle>)... Not sure I'd call it their Kid A but it's probably even more of a departure for them than the Great Destroyer was.
Whatever, same songwriting, same voices, what's the problem, sounds fab to me.

j/k I agree though, certainly not a 'Kid A' period, just the sound of a band progressing (and a large dose of dave fridmann smeared all over said progression). In interviews i've read with alan, he's always talked about how he collects drum machines and shit like that, and listens to a lot of dub/reggae amongst other kinds of music (even touting M.I.A as his current fav at one point)...also, the redone version of 'i remember' on the A Lifetime of Temporary Relief CD has the percussion done on a drum machine...the 'owl' remix album too, the track 'half light' from the mothman prophecies, their work with spring heeled jack etc.....there's tons of Low already out there in this vein (and even more 'experimental'), so how it's a surprise or divise to some i don't know. [OT] - I dunno if it's just me, but i heard much more of a change in radiohead going from pablo honey - the bends / the bends - ok computer, than i did going from ok computer to kid a...i guess to people who never stepped outside the 'guitar band' box it was massive though. - [/OT]
