DirectWave VSTi crashes Cubase

I'm using DirectWave as a plugin in Cubase SE, and it is basically unusable. Every time I try to load a program I created, Cubase crashes. Also, the "lock zone" button in the zone window doesn't work as it should, and adding new samples screws up the mapping of the samples that are already loaded. In addition, samples played in DirectWave sound "detuned", despite being mapped with the appropriate root key. FL Studio tech support is a joke, so it looks like I just threw $99 down the toilet. I knew I wasn't going to get much for $99, but this is absurd.
Buyer Beware!
Any similar/dissimilar opinions or experiences?

Whilst I've had no crashes with Directwave (or pretty much any other problems!) I can confirm that when loading in samples using the 'File' button and 'Add sample' the samples are remapped (even when locked) - I'd consider that a bug. This doesn't happen if you add zones manually and import samples from the browser.

I've had the same issues! DW crashed in Cubase SX 3 when loading programs via that download sample browser. Same with energy XT. Reinstallation of DW solved the problem though.

We use DirectWave within Plougue Bidule v0.93. We are getting tremendous results with it, and it is very stable. I urge you to work through whatever issues you're encountering, as DirectWave is the finest soft-sampler on the market today. In my opinion.

That's the reason demo versions exist.FL Studio tech support is a joke, so it looks like I just threw $99 down the toilet. I knew I wasn't going to get much for $99, but this is absurd.

No problems here with that.Every time I try to load a program I created, Cubase crashes.
No problems here with that aswell, please specify. Also, the "lock zone" button in the zone window doesn't work as it should,
No problem here with that also, the sample might have a invalid INST chunk detuning parameter, etc, check finetune field in the zone list, it might be wrong. In addition, samples played in DirectWave sound "detuned", despite being mapped with the appropriate root key.
and adding new samples screws up the mapping of the samples that are already loaded.
This crap is fixed in 1.36 update.samples using the 'File' button and 'Add sample' the samples are remapped (even when locked) - I'd consider that a bug. This doesn't happen if you add zones manually and import samples from the browser.
