Nice suggestion. A VST stub may be also useful when loading project file whose VST has been missed.echopark wrote:Hallo Hawk,
thanks for your prg. A replace function for VST Plugins would be nice like in Energy XT.
Maybe in the next future ?
Reinhard
And up to now, VST, ASIO and Mixer Send Effect bugs have all been fixed.
Thank you guys.

Is not possible to use it inside other host yet, isnt?
Looking in the Maize folder, i found the "Bass.dll", so you are using the high quality engine made by xmplay makers, my prefered music player proggie. Nice!

Firstly, trying to delete an audio mixer component gave me a BSOD - a first for my core 2 duo laptop. Other than that, having fun playing around with this - would love to be able to download the manual though, everytime I try it craps out, starts at about 3k per second / 21 minutes, then drops to 1.5 days rapidly before giving up entirely!

Indeed, using a test version that "Hawk" sent me to check, the fixed bugs are indeed fixed and my interest is reawakened!
Not sure if this a bug report or feature request, but when I have four different setups in a VST effect using the provided buttons 1 to 4, the displayed preset to the left of those buttons does not change. I realise that tweaking the effect controls might mean that the starting preset was no longer in effect, but the name might still remind me of where I started. Or maybe there should be an independent text field for those 1 to 4 buttons so you could put some sort of personalised name in there for the preset? Could be handy in live performance.
How about Wavpack support? That's the format I personally use for just about everything.
Another FR - ability to load playlists in the player? And save them? (Currently you could carefully set up a playlist in the player, then press the delete all button by mistake, and there's no way back).
You could build a multitrack recorder if (say) ctrl/click on a stereo recorder "record" button set all the recorder instances running at once...
Audio matrixes always confuse me. Maybe labels or icons could be added to remind me at a glance which way round the inputs and outputs are (ok, the top down arrangement is logical enough but...)
Notepad is a bit narrow for seeing much of a note.
The interface works nicely across two monitors so you can have the design view in one and the device view in the other.
The Maize Keyboard causes a crash almost as soon as I start to use it. Seems to be related to playing more than one note at once, or too quickly. If I make quite sure that I play with one finger, no problem.
If I add a second stereo recorder it's fine, but I get a crash if I delete it.
No time yet to try the rest of the stuff!

Thanks for reporting this bug. But what is BSOD ?? Fatal Error?mcnelson wrote:Firstly, trying to delete an audio mixer component gave me a BSOD - a first for my core 2 duo laptop. About the manual, in fact, it has been included in the install exe, just check out the start menu or install folder.

In fact, the preset list and preset button are two independent systems. The preset list shows the preset build in the plug-in and you can recall them as you wish. But some plug-in do not have multiple presets and maize studio saves their parameters and chunks into it's own format in the project file. The four preset buttons are just four slot for Maize Studio. The saves are automatically done when you switch from one button to another. But your idea is also very smart, may consider that in the future.Art Evans wrote:but when I have four different setups in a VST effect using the provided buttons 1 to 4, the displayed preset to the left of those buttons does not change. Not very easy to add this format now... SorryArt Evans wrote: How about Wavpack support? That's the format I personally use for just about everything.
I thought about to support the m3u list but have not implemented that. But in fact you have not to set up a playlist carefully, because multiselect is supported in the open box of the audio file player.Art Evans wrote: Another FR - ability to load playlists in the player? Yeah, good idea. May be a transport chainer device ...Art Evans wrote: You could build a multitrack recorder if (say) ctrl/click on a stereo recorder "record" button set all the recorder instances running at once...
Will be more clear in next beta, GUI updated.Art Evans wrote: Audio matrixes always confuse me. Maybe labels or icons could be added to remind me at a glance which way round the inputs and outputs are (ok, the top down arrangement is logical enough but...)

Never expirencing that yet. May be it works only on Laptop keyboard ? I need to do some further investigation about this.Art Evans wrote: The Maize Keyboard causes a crash almost as soon as I start to use it. Stereo recorder is really buggy now, will try to fix that before next beta.Art Evans wrote: If I add a second stereo recorder it's fine, but I get a crash if I delete it.

A transport chainer device would indeed be consistent with the rest of the program. Or, allow stereo recorders to be wired together with a new type of "control wire" or "transport sync wire". Maybe allow this for any existing device which has a transport, eg the midi and audio players. Thus, when any connected device is run or stopped, all connected devices would run or stop. And devices not connected by such a "transport sync wire" would act independently.

BSOD means "Blue Screen of Death", i believe, offenly related to drivers/hardware error.caoxiang wrote:Thanks for reporting this bug. But what is BSOD ?? Yep, blue screen of death - didn't have a chance to note any errors, laptop reset before I could.
Playing around more, seems stable so far; haven't tried to replicate that crash.
Found the manual as well - boy, do I feel silly!
Thanks again!
